Rich
All car cleaning chemicals are BOGOF from today, just a heads up I'm getting the Megs claying kit, 2 for £25 so if anyone wants one for £12.50 let me know
Rich
Also AG High Definition Wax is £40 each so if you go half with someone that's a bargain. I'm very tempted but have enough wax!
parthiban
I might be interested in the claying kit, is that one of those ones with everything in it for a beginner?

Oh cool that's a whole proper kit. Yeah I'll take the other for £12.50 (plus whatever postage) if you manage to get

Rich
Anyone want a AG High Definition wax for £20? It's getting rave reviews on DW and I have an itch to scratch!!
parthiban
Cool, postage might not be cheap though...are you not at the OJC meet on Sunday? I can't make that meet unfortunately, good point though if the postage is quite high it defeats the point. Makes more sense for me just to have 2 kits for £25 rather than have one for almost £25 Anyone want a AG High Definition wax for £20? It's getting rave reviews on DW and I have an itch to scratch!! Lol, I would but I have an almost unused tub of collinite so should probably use some of that before I buy another

Are you going to WIM soon or where abouts in London are you, I might be passing by and could drop it off?

I'm in Southgate in North London, but if it can wait a couple of weeks I can probably pick it up off you. But if someone else at the WIM meet wants it let them have it, I'm actually thinking it might make sense to have two as I see myself dropping the clay on the floor a few times

I've asked on OJC so if there's no interest I'll hold it for you no problem. You get 2 bars in the kit and 1/3 or half a bar should be enough to do the car so you get enough. If you drop it though bin it otherwise you will scratch the hell out of the paint if you reuse!

Oh you get 2 bars in the kit (should have read that properly), that should be plenty even with my hands - yeah know you have to bin it, that's why I thought I'd need as much clay as possible! If it's the vet I think it is (the big one in cockfosters) then that's just round the corner from me - but that sounds cool, if no one takes it off you then I'll definitely take it and we'll sort out how to get it later

Don't know that one, but osidge lane is also just 2 minutes away It's on Osidge Parade, I think the front of it is yellow and there's a few shops there as well. Anyway, went to Halfords in Watford and no clay bar kits at all and only one HD wax left...why is it whenever they do offers like these they never get the stock for the popular items! Gonna try Uxbridge branch tomorrow. Edit - Just reserved at Uxbridge, let's see if they actually have them!!!
parthiban
Never really notice the shops round there, think I fly through a bit too quickly Lol, they'll never have too many of the "expensive" items in a deal like that............ Got that wrong the front is blue! Link When I went in the store it says BOGOF, pick and mix, cheapest item free. I added 2 Megs clay kits and 2 HD waxes on the website to reserve and it's given me 1 of each free!!
parthiban
I've honestly never noticed that before, although I swear there used to be a bar or restaurant in that place - how long has that vet been there?

I would say about 4 or 5 years mate...very observant aren't we!! It's a very good vets though, there is one less than 5 minutes from us but we'd prefer to drive to Southgate to use that one
Rich
I was just getting ready to leave for Uxbridge when the phone rang...guess what? Sorry sir we don't have any clay in stock! Well why the hell did you let me reserve it then. I've given up now mate sorry. If you do want some clay I would recommend the Bilt Hamber soft clay, which is a 200g bar, twice what you get in the Megs kits but obviously none of the other bits. It's £12 delivered from Rubbish Boys and you can make a strong shampoo mix up to use as lube

A while back PC World were selling off the ink cartridges for my printer at 50p each (when normal retail is £15, and there are 7 so that's a big saving) but guess what, tried every store within a reasonable distance and none around.......... Cool mate, already got a spray bottle ready to make my own lube, was going to try the blu-tack way first as it was my first time, but then when this came up thought I'd get some real clay. But will just get the bilt hamber stuff you've mentioned
parthiban
Just checked my local stores, showed in stock when quantity was 1, but then out of stock when I put in 2 so might just be that these stores only carry one. However, Chingford, Tottenham and Borehamwood all showed still in stock when I changed quantity to 2 so they are a possibility. I'm going to see if I might be able to get down to one of them over the weekend, but I've got a really nutty weekend with weddings and birthdays (hence not making the wim meet) so not sure if I'll have time. Rich
I thought we were talking about here, which does still have a restaurant LINK That's the way I get there, I pass those shops and turn left at the roundabout and pray there's a space right out the front, otherwise it usually means having to park right at the top of that road! Ahh no worries, that's always the way. But will just get the bilt hamber stuff you've mentioned As you're in Southgate you have Alex @ Serious Performance right on your doorstep so could collect any detailing bits you might need. Although he doesn't do the Bilt Hamber range I recently bought some of his clay, which also comes highly recommended - Link. He's a top guy and very helpful, will answer any questions you have and TBH I'd rather give my money to him than Halfrauds! He also drives a very nice R33 GTR! I've heard about using blu-tack but TBH if this was any good why make a specialist clay to use.
