CIH
Hey guys, I've decided all the messing required to get my factory H/U working isn't going to be worth the hassle, plus the harness has already been adapted to fit a more modern unit. I'm not a big fan of ICE so I just want a fairly simple set-up with minimal fuss and outlay. This is what I've got to work with; Problem is I don't know what brand head unit these plugs wil suit ? I assume there are adaptor plugs/leads/things avaliable though ? Cheers
Rich
The long plug connector is for the ariel, I assume you know that anyway. The other 2 are to connect an ISO adapter to, which will be supplied with the headunit you get so any make will work. One is for the speakers, in this case the red plug and the other is for the power, ground etc. Here's a photo of a kenwood ISO adapter but they all look the same roughly. CIH
Yeah, the Co-Axial is pretty hard to mistake, and the other two are actually labelled so it's not hard to figure their individual roles. But so long as I can get an ISO adaptor lead I can go for pretty much any unit I want ?

The ISO adapter will be in the box with the headunit, providing you're buying new so yeah take your pick!
Mark H.
You can always get a 2nd hand older unit eg alpine/ kenwood which would perhaps fit in better with the dash style and should still have an iso connection on the back.
CIH
That's what I'm thinking TBH. MP3 would be nice but not urgent as I can record to disk on the ol' PC
