r_keates
Hi all, Been referred over here by MEG, just after a bit of advice really. My Mondeo (Mk2 1997 Ghia) steering is slightly off centre - to go in a straight line the wheel has to be a couple of degrees to the right, or the car moves left toward the kerb. I've also noticed that it sometimes tries to pull left a little when moving off (only when i'm booting it, not when i'm being sensible!) What kind of alignment do you think I would need to try and resolve this? Thanks Rob
Rich
Hi mate, welcome to WIM The pull when you move off could be the rear/front torque restrictor, if the rubber has perished like most do over time there will be more movement from the engine, hence the pull when you boot it as the engine will move quicker. Tony
Hello Rob The steering centre needs to be adjusted. To do this the cars geometric centre at the rear needs to be found and use as a reference for the front. This is an easy task so a four wheel alignment will suffice. As for the pull when you are going full nutter, i agree with ER's comments
