Don't forget you need to lose the HICAS as well. I am guessing they are not a high load area hence why they get away with it? Still struggling to see an upside other than saving a few grams? Re. Hicas - I'd like to leave that in situe if poss, as long as its operational and serviceable to retain some originality to the car (although its primarily for my enjoyment i have to keep one eye on its residuals!!) .
