Proof Mazda are....... Fibbing

To comply with EU "pedestrian height regulations" All MK3 NC's need to be raised 30mm before import and sale in the UK.

According to Mazda the change in suspension height does not effect the Geometry positions despite the magazines slating the poor handling traits of the NC here in the UK.

I have set over 30 "regulation" NC's and all of them had severe calibration issues. Today i measured A new NC that the owner had lowered 30mm and guess what........? I had next to nothing to calibrate.

Proof Mazda are talking pants :D

Doesn't suprise me

The Mk3's sit ridiculously high (they look like they have been jacked up) I'm suprised they manage to get round corners without tipping over  and surely a change in suspension height will 9.9/10 times put the geo out

The owners in the clubs are not happy...... Looks like my report will upset many a Dealer....

What's an NC?

MK3 Mazda MX5.... NA-NB are twin A-arm coil over oil suspension. The MK3 is multi-link. Totally new chassis. Compounded with this new EU regulation.. In truth the whole concept in the UK has gone "tits up" for the reasons displayed in this thread....

wim is proud to have exposed this cop-out to the entire Mazda forum community. At least they know whats wrong now!
