...Lloyd...
Hello, After reading so many posts on various forums about the spannering wizzardrie WIM achieve, it inspired me to do something about my '55 MX5 NC which is a bit duff anyway due to knackered rear shocks. It is standard as far as I know. It's a daily driver and my job requires me to drive down rough farm tracks in west Wales, so the extra ground clearance is quite handy, Can you suggest a suitable shock replacement and do you know of anyone a little more local to me who can weave the sort of geometric spells you practise? A 500 mile round trip is a bit far for 1 hours 'tinkerin'. Sorry it's a bit cheeky for a first post but if you don't ask....... cheers, Lloyd. Tony
Hi Lloyd What dampers are you on now, the yellow or black ones?
...Lloyd...
Hi Tony, I've got the black one's. what's the difference?
Tony
Black are oil yellow are gas..... Unless your thinking of getting coilovers then i think it's wise the stick with OEM dambers but go for the yellow gas ones.
...Lloyd...
I think coil overs would be wasted for the sort of use my car has, I will definitely go for the gas though, thanks for the advice. Are you able to recommend someone to do the geometry in south Wales?
SMARTLY
You can buy the geometry online at www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk and select the approved garage you want to do it for you ( think there is one in Torfaen ).
...Lloyd...
Thanks Smartly, Torfaen is do-able from here, Cheers, Lloyd.
