Scorps steering position sorted today

Recommended Posts

Scorps car has been a wim research car for some years now. We have analyzed the chassis for compliance and deterioration forming a catalogue of data that is reflected back in to the Lexus community.

A few weeks ago the car was measured and re-calibrated but it was also noted a poorly fitted NSF anti-roll bar drop link would need to be replaced, this was done last week when we fitted a new set of tyres on the car.... After Scorps noticed the steering position had changed and now off-line when driving straight.

Today we re-measured the Geometry and found the previously worn anti-roll bar had deceived the NSF toe position by -2.8mm toward the trans-verse side OSF necessitating Scorps to hold the steering LHD when driving straight.

The situation was sorted in minutes and displays to us all how a well tuned car will react to the smallest of adjustments :crying_anim02:

Yeah what Tony said ^ :crying_anim02:

More annoying than anything as it wasn't pulling to the left at all......im just after perfection :crying_anim02:

Perfection.... Rightly so!.. Nevertheless analysis will always fall into the equation tiss the wim way.... In fact your example reinforces the example we spoke of today... A worn drop-link has real consequences to the Geometry calibration, and if i am honest the amount surprised me.
