What should I do with Rover 25's alignment?

Recommended Posts

Mrs TheBoy's little Rover 25 I think has a problem. Steering wheel offline, and high (but even) wear on the fronts.

Generally, I am happy with the handling, and the (until recently) tyre wear, which has been even across the tyre.

Should I take it to a local tyre place for cheapo tracking/4 wheel alignment, or should I get a proper geometry check done?

Good question. Assuming the car has limited compensator's then a global measurement would be a wast of money, unless diagnostics is an intention.

Linear toe has the ability to establish the thrust angle......Explained here http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/ind...p?showtopic=118 If this angle is observed then the exact steering centre will be realised.
