    Moment of Inertia

If you watch the viideo about 3 From the end where the other Car has a chute, there is very little little squat. H
  8. Don't think he was defending his position, he wasn't aware he was there! h ps. put me in the queue for a cabby! h
  9. That close it was over the limit, no spare runway. Either runway was too short or plane was overweight, both of which were no no's H
  10. Put two blades in the hacksaw, should give you a wider cut. h
  11. Nice to have a new RWD option. I'm surprised about the relative lack of power tho' 197 hp, 152 torques! h

    Super Tracker

Just because you have the kit, it doesn't mean you know how to use it! h
  14. White out as you get skiing, you loose all sense of distance. h
  15. Quote Noisey and keeps breaking Unquote. It's a Lotus then! h
  16. Couple of things, vacuum leak. Happens after a while when everything gets hot and expands? Clutch pedal switch? Don't know why I'm saying this but I seem to remember a faulty clutch switch causing problems elsewhere! Found this on one of the MX5 fora. Forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the clutch switch? I'm probably making myself look a complete tit here, but very occassionally my car is reluctant to start ..... depress the clutch pedal, turn the key, the engine turns over but not a hint of it firing. It's never failed to start when I don't depress the clutch pedal. Coincidence, or could there be a connection? Answer On the over-run above a certain speed, the PCM will not inject fuel. However, if the clutch is depressed the switch tells the PCM to keep injecting fuel so the engine will idle, otherwise it will stop dead and you'll lose brake/steering assistance, your headlights will go dim and you'll experience quite a jolt when you let the clutch out (although the engine will generally bump-start itself). The occasional "idle droop" is just fuel starvation as you coast to a stop. I'd hazard a guess that you don't get idle droop if you declutch just before coming to a halt, gear choice permitting. h
  17. I'm a bit confused. (Easily done!) I though the issue was turning circle, not Ackerman. Isn't Ackerman where the wheels turn different amounts to allow for the different turn radius at each wheel? How can anything you do alter the amount of turn at the wheels without changing the rack? The rack only provides so much movement at each end, how do you amplify that to give you greater steering output? Words of one syllable and picture please Tony! h
  18. What is the distance from the wheel centre to the wheel arch? (Measured vertically) Best height for a 5 is where the lower wishbones are parallel to the road. Has the car ever had a proper alignment done? (Not tracking) h
  19. Was that the cuplrit? You should hear it knock on cornering. h
  20. What do you mean shes got no room for her stuff, there's definately a jarr of Ragu in there!
  21. I would have though the turning circle would have been too large, can a turning circle be too small? (Providing the wheels do not touch the bodywork) Nice looking car though. h
  22. thinking about this, the clear stuff may be useable as a stone protector, like the plastic stuff they stick on wheel arches etc. Thinking more along the lines of the nose cone. h
