  1. If that's what you want and everything is working OK now, then wait. Moss do something in their own brand Cobalt. Not sure how good it is. http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewProd...teIndexID=10285 I have, I believe, Jackson Racing on my NA. Don't know if they do anything for the NC. Obviously you have tried MX5parts, have you tried ILM Germany, they provide some parts to MX5parts, maybe they have stock. (Although you should be able to get MX5 parts to order from them for you as they are ILM agents?) Sorry cannot be of more help! h
  2. Yes, car drivers are not perfect, nor are bike riders. What's needed by both parties is defensive driving, looking ahead, seeing the car at the junction and expecting him to pull out on you, as opposed to thinking, "He's seen me, he won't pull out" Seeing a bike in the rear view mirror, next time you look he's not there. Where did he go? pulled off or blind spot? h
  3. Oi, do that again and I'll do the same to you! It's a Lotus, not the cat! h
  4. Bloomin 'eck, got me hook line and sinker! Sorry about getting heated, but being and old fart I see a lot wrong with society, a lot of it posted up on you tube etc. Remember last year, the one of the guys trashing someon's Elise for fun? Happy slapping that causes the death of a grandfather in front of his 3 year old grand daughter! I just don't understand some people! Apologies Joe if you knew it was fake! h
  5. Sorry Joe, don't find that funny at all. What so funny about someone trying to cause a bus to brake quickly? The least that could happen is that someone could be sent flying down the bus and seriously injure themselves. As it is you see someone nearly get run over, never mind what happend to the passengers in the bus. People like that moron, and the cameraman, should be taken out and removed from the gene pool. h
  6. If you click "buy alignment" on the wim/BB web sites, then choose your car it will then take you to the map. Where on the site is this? or am I going blind/stupid or both! h
  7. Now the Midlands/the North. Next the world! Well done Tony. h
  8. Looks as though I should be in. I'll call in on the way from picking up the Hornet for hethel the following day, which will be an early start so may be a short visit! h Attending E55EX_RACER Tony Scorps Steve h Might be attending jammy S2IM

    The wim Lotus blog

Is it original? It looks a different colour to the dash. H
  10. I think the bits I can improve on, apart from not fluffing the gear change! are: The approach to the roundabout, the gate is very difficult to approach, I think I could be further out to the right when approaching may make a difference. The fast left hander after the roundabout. I have difficulty in seeing the turn in point, (middle of the second gravel section on the left) as I'm trying to locate the turning and the little blue arrow hidden in all the grass. I come off the power rather than stay on it whilst I locate where I should be going! Hopefully with Hethel being the next outing, and having been there once before, the experience willl help reduce the times. h
  11. Here's the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5vG5_4oqPU You can see I hit the rev limiter early on and miss a gear approaching the finish gate! Must find that rattle! h
  12. Nice to see again. Welded steering arms, I'm sure Tony's concern will be the weld, will it hold? h
  13. Ah, I thought you meant ricketts and TB! h
  14. Yep, they'll wait for the number plate to fall off then fine you. I had the number plate removed by the police for a parking matter, (they do that, take your number plate so you have to go to them to get it back, the plates are issued by the Government, so it's no off to Halfrauds to get another!) I then got fined that afternoon for not having the plate on the front of the car! h
  15. Trying to see if we can get the Hornet there. Would like to get her on the RR to see if the cambelt fix has improved the power and by how much! h
  16. Suppose the only places where you can do things like this that are sensibly priced, have wide tracks with plenty of run offs i.e. not a circuit, are old out of service airfields. The MOD are hardly likely to retarmac them just for our use. h
  17. So I have the extra power and 888′s on, so how was it? Did I manage to reduce the gap? Was I still last in the class? Well the day started with an accident, I ran over my foot as I was pushing the Hornet to be scrutineered. Lightweight Car, my foot! Especially when it’s on it. More embarrassment than pain! Anyway, Debden is an airfield course which is of variable condition with lots of loose stones and gravel. The start heads off into a left hander, which continues around to a roundabout at the end of the bend. The placement of the roundabout entry was difficult as it was off the to the left so ther was a sharp turn in hading into a narrow gate. Around the pear shaped roundabout and back out the way you came in, this time making it a sweeping right hander. Then a fast left hander, and straighten the bend up to the new chicane. This has been added to slow you down at the top end of the course because of a tree on the end of the track. Round the top end of the track and a right hander into the curves of the cart track, defined by blue and white kerbs. 4 tight curves ready to catch you out, and then a sprint to the finish gate. The hardest parts for me were the approach to the roundabout, you cannot see it coming, even with an 80 meter board, I always found myself in the wrong positon for the entry to the roundabout. Second one was the left hander after the roundabout, again difficult to see because of the bend, finding the braking point, and realising that I could go through the corner faster than I did. The first practice run missed gears on the sweeping left approaching roundabout, same thing again on the second run, checking I had all gears in the gearbox! First timed run was clean, second timed run , on the run from the last gate to the finish line I was hitting the rev liumiter and decided to upshift but fluffed it, cost a little time but not much, as this was my fastest run. Third timed run was clean, but slower. Times. Practise. 1 85.98 Practise 2. 85.94 Timed 1. 82.82 Timed 2. 80.88 Timed 3. 81.91 The fastest run in class was Paul at 71.95, so I think I’m a little faster than previously due the the cam belt work that was done. Net meet will be a return to Hethel. Can’t wait! I'll post video in due course. h
  18. Attending E55EX_RACER Tony Might be attending h
  19. Yep, plenty but sadly not on my drive C'mon girl, get back into the fold. h
  20. Aren't new tyres covered in a release agent to enable the tyre to seperate from the mould when being manufactured?. Takes a few miles for this to wear off also. h
  21. Reaction times are only that, time from the go to breaking the beam to start the run. Reaction time is not included in the run time. Some people stage well back from the beam by the maximum amount, so they are already rolling when they break the beam, which may make for a faster time! h
