  6. Re...bloody..leaf I was worried for you then mate!!!! I thought everything had gone 'tits up' ... Seemingly not, as i said i should be passing the Kipling centre tomorrow and i intend to pop in and check on things.... but i will be a quick visit.. a sort of drive by hand shake ....... see you tomorrow That'll be goood to meet the man who so many people have said great things about, im setting off shortly to go to TDI to get the coilovers do you rekon going anti clock wise round the M25 from TDI to hemel or clock wise ?????? anti clockwise
  7. not sure what the drop is, but it is equal all round was too low for tony to get his equipment on
  8. the IS200 is only geometry adjustable to a certain height (40mm i think) after that there are unrecoverable settings, (camber i think) mine was set up by abbey motorsports, they claim they are able to set any height car, mine was set to the lowest recoverable height, and testament to there expertise i have no uneven wear on any tyres, and it handles superb as for lowest height to be measured, it will depend on who carries out the geometry i know tony is frustrated by not being able to accomodate low riders
  9. toyo r888`s semi slick that you can drive home with i found an immense difference in grip on the strip, compared to toyo t1r`s dont do 275 though, but do 265 or 285 make sure your clutch is up to it though !!!!
  10. how often does your Lada loose traction
  11. Not good. Only front and rear toe is available for adjustment. Since no data is available for the cars actual Geometry positions i measured this first to get an image then lowered the car then did the Geo corrections. The before/after lowering results i still need to analyze but i do have some concerns... these are. 1: After the drop the Castor was reduced by about 1 degree. 2: The front Camber was moved an additional -55' The rear end results showed no real concern to me but the front has some issues, and this is why. 1: If additional adjusters are fitted to recover the Camber then this will displace the Toe. 2: The Toe correction pivots the Castor (IS200/300 forward) 3: The steering arm on the IS200/300 is behind the wheel so adjusting the Camber/Toe displacement compliments the Castor into UK spec.... Whereas the IS250 has the steering arm in front of the wheel... seemingly correction will reduce the Castor position further. In summery i need to Analise the pivotal points and maths the Dynamic corrections. Tango has asses to engineers able to construct various modifications so maybe some wim team work is all that is required. Personally if i had the privilege to own this car i would also lower it regardless of the consequences, it just looks so much better! pics .....we need pics
  12. what was the verdict on the adjustability of the geometry settings ?

    Corner weighting

could you stretch that average to about 85kg how are these weights attached and what do they use as weights
  14. with a bit of reading : it seems bspt is compatable with the japanese pt and a 1/8 tap requires a 8mm or 8.4mm drill ! confusing or what ! mathew would you have a 1/8bspt tap ?? if not i will use Marks recomended people thank you
  15. It's a tapered thread Barrie, so that it self tightens as it screws in. Most engineering hardware shops sell them. Zeus tables tell you the correct size of drill bit (the engineering shop will halp you with this, but let me know if you're struggling). is it an 8mm thread ? should i ask for what is written, will they understand or is it known as a tapered thread tap ? is the tap tapered or the thread being screwed into it ? i think im having a blonde day today 1/8th is an old imperial plumbing size (I think). Noah invented it for the central heating on the the Ark. They will know exactly what you mean. You can order it from W. L Cooke on 0208 590 3279. Ask for a "one eighth BSPT tap" Hope this helps. thanks mark the problem is , as far as i can see the hole is not 1/8 its more like 8mm ! the way its written looks like it says 1/8th hence the confusion could this mean an 8mm with a 1mm thread ??

  17. to insert an EGT sensor (greddy) it says it needs a 1/8 pt threaded hole question is : where do i get a 1/8 pt tap ? (seem to be able to find various 1/8 taps but none say pt ) and what size hole needs to be drilled ? i wonder if the "pt" is a japanese thing, if so whats the uk version of it even wondering if 1/8 means something else as it looks a lot bigger than 1/8 (looks more like 8mm)
  18. thats a fair bit, for a top up perhaps you should concentrate your worries on where it went ! the water pumps are notorious for leaking
  19. cant see a problem the most you will have done is diluted the mixture a bit the "to" and "from" temperatures may have changed slightly but i am sure they will still be within UK temperatures unless of course it was completly empty
  20. the best thing would be for Lexus to acknowledge WIM`s expertise WIM can now exploit the fact that it taught Lexus how to do it
