  1. Sounds like some manufacturers need to come to you when the have geo problems to sort new settings for their cars, for a nice fee.
  2. I seem to remember reading about this before and they can be made to show the level on one of the screens. Of course that requires an accurate sensor and you wont know if there is any oil in there or not if the sensor fails or becomes erratic or the wiring gets an intermittant fault etc etc... Not really that great. I can imagine alot of cars having there oil levels incorrect and interiors getting dirty when the main dealer mechanics hop inside to find out what the oil level is from a gauge done in square blocks.
  3. Could you ceramic coat it like exhausts to keep other components cool or would the turbo become too hot?
  4. I was going to say, regular puddles deeper than that in the uk.
  5. Its one of my favorite colours. Even my cars "wim" blue.
  6. You have more trophys but i'm the overall leader because i held so many for so long. Nice try though .
  7. Thats no problem Tony, Thanks for letting me know, i just noticed when my name as arcade champion ( to Essex_Racer) was gold instead of platinum. It used to go silver gold silver, now its gold green gold, lol. Traders get details in blue .
  8. As i just noticed i'm a gold member but was platinum before. Could we have a level of membership that gives us a blue name?
  9. Well done and good luck. Firstly could you get some discounts up north? Seccondly, could you get me a discount at the local cafe, often go most days and its getting expensive .
  10. That could be a national campaign. "How straight is your car?"
  11. Are you still looking for prices Mark? wim Gold/Platinum members get a trade price from a national motor factors..... If you pm the cars registration i will contact them for you. I managed to get one and have it fitted in the week so im back out and about again . Not the cheapest thing to have done at christmas time though . Thanks for the offer though .
  12. I thought it had been hacked at first.
  13. Mine has sprung a leak from the front and has obviously been hit by something and it shoots coolant out the front when you give it some revs so its going to need replacing, i think people replace the mounts as well as they are looking a bit past it. Then maybe the thermostat as well whilst the coolant is out as it will need filling with toyota for life stuff as well. Is there anything else worth doing at the same time? Might have to get a set of the bleed hoses to get it bled correctly as well.

    Question

The suspension etc is designed with the harder tyre walls in mind so you shouldn't put different tyres on. Allthough many will.
  15. I'll try to get something with all the details on.
  16. At the moment i just want to make sure that it is aligned reasonably well and nothing seems to have taken a knock at all. The car seems to hit more potholes in the road nowadays as they get worse and you cant avoid hitting them some of the time and it would be good to know how the car is currently set. Then the tyres will hopefully wear reasonably evenly. I dont want to particually change any settings just make sure that whatever is suggested in the allowed range is a reasonable setup and wont cause problems.
  17. I just drive it on the road and it is totally stock so not sure what adjustment is available. Although it has 205/50 15 rather than 195/55 15's up front, standard 225/50 15's at the rear still.
  18. Thanks Tony, Ill try to get one or get a photo of it, not sure what machine they use. Just need to hope they know some good settings for the mr2.
  19. I was having my MOT done by a branch of Gordons tyres which was recomended by a couple of people on Pistonheads. When i was looking at the details they have listed it said that the wakefield branch has a full 4 wheel alignment machine. http://www.gordonstyres.co.uk/pages/gordons_wakefield.htm http://www.gordonstyres.co.uk/pages/gordons_branches.htm rang up and it sounds like they will put it on the machine and get a reading free then there is a charge if angles need changing so i may try and take it down tomorrow and get it checked out and they will balance my wheels before hand too as they vibrate quite a bit after the new tyres were put on. So hopefully i have found somewhere nearby up north to have the geometry done, just off junction 40 on the M1 iirc.
  20. Sounds like its designed to alter certain things electronically if they are out of alignment, however the sensor is duff and it is setting it incorrectly and causing problems. Should have got a W126 560SEL instead, mmmmm.
  21. You just need to copy the items location when you view it then put it in image tags
  22. If you find anywhere that can let me know.
