  1. How strange is that, have you previously had back problems? My Mrs has never had any back issues yet the seat is giving her a lot of pain! I would have probably preferred the petrol to be honest, we don't do loads of miles, given the above issues, will see how if goes and if we end up keeping it or not, would be a shame as it works so well for the family, but I'd rather her not be in pain because of the car!
  2. Rich I don't think economy is going to be great, it's a big heavy piece of metal!! I filled it up last week and it's got a big tank, over £90 of deisel, which might be an indication of how much it's going to use!! Parth, will put up a pic when I fold all the seats down! Yeah whilst looking at it, it does look big. You wouldn't think it's bigger than a Q7!
  3. Yeah it's not too bad actually, the engine noise is a bit loud when initially moving off, but otherwise it's a really comfortable car - although my mrs is having back issues with the seat and it's giving her back pain. She's trying to use a cushion to make it more comfortable, which she said did make it better but it's still not 100%. Strange as I've had no issues!
  4. its soooo american, the seats are so big and wide! Might even get some bigger/wider wheels, the arches are so big the wheels don't look in proportion to the rest of the car
  5. i think the Q7 is wider, but i think the GV is a little longer. Yeah both rows go into the floor, which is just what i need at the moment as i got a load of stuff that i need to get out storage.
  6. Dont get me worng, the Q7 was lovely car, really nice to drive and externally they are both around the same size, inside however, the space in the GV is so much bigger. Its so much more practical too, not having to move the seat to let the kids in to the 3rd row, the sliding doors which you can open from the remote too. The boot is much bigger too! In a few years when the kids are older, the Q7 will work better for us, so will consider it then! Yeah its not very nimble around town, but cruises along on the motorway! Yeah 2.8 diesel! It has a very clunky American feel to it, but as you say the space is awesome, the seats collapse into the floor, so it essentially turns into van!
  7. Picked up the replacement for the galaxy a few days ago; we were a bit unsure what to get, Mrs wanted a Q7, but then i test drove one of these and the practicality and space in these ticked all the boxes! A few pics of the coach as my daughter calls it Havent done many miles in it yet, but you just waft along on the motorway!!
  8. Nice work Rich, still ain't done mine !
  9. Stunning !!! Beautiful motor mate, enjoy
  10. Is it the E60/MV2 18s? Before I had it lowered, on the WIM geo settings for the E60, I had 2.8 on the rears and 2.3 on the front. If it's an F10, Tony will be able to advise accordingly!
  11. Oh mate, for sure! Apparently they haven't got round to processing it yet? WTF, they processed the payment for taking out the policy quick enough!
  12. The insurers made an offer really quick! Damn gap insurance are dragging their heels at the moment!! Yeap, won't be a non fault as there is no one to claim against! As Parth says with protected no claims it should be to bad a hit!
  13. See I would have thought the same, however they didn't plan it very well if they did, we were in the shop for 55 minutes, they took it 2 minutes before we paid, resulting it being 'hot' within 5/6 minutes of it being taken! If they were planning to do a crime with it, I'd expect them to be scoping the carpark from a far, choose a target and within a few minutes of us leaving the car go for it! I reckon it's been cloned! Exactly! However, I've just been told by the DVLA, unless it's recovered, I can't put my plate back on retention or transfer to another car for 12 months after it was stolen, well p**sed!! And if it had been cloned, very unlikely it will be recovered! Fingers crossed it turns up after the insurers have settled the claim!
  14. Really is, the second I saw it wasn't there I knew it had been nabbed as I was 100% sure of where I left it, first thing I thought was I don't get it, it's a Galaxy! I am too! Been in that car park and other retail parks in that area and it's not something you'd expect to happen, particularly in broad daylight. It was in the underground carpark, but still it's very well lit and always busy!
  15. Going by the security's reaction, no! He was well shocked
  16. Yeap handle / lock carrier Cheers mate! Fingers crossed!
  17. Seems this is the the case! I'm going to get an aftermarket alarm on the Beemer which has obd cut off, will probably get it on the galaxy's replacement too!
  18. Chingford Costco mate! As Parth says, I had assumed that newer cars had closed off the obd security issue Mine was ages ago, back in 2005 but in a carjacking so they had the keys. As Rich says if it's keyless start it must be similar to all the recent BMW and Range Rover thefts where they use the OBD port to program a new key literally in seconds. I thought most manufacturers had closed up that issue but maybe not. Oh I remember that! Had totally forgotten!
  19. Yeah i get they can get in but how they started it I have no idea, it's keyless start too, there is however a cap by where the ignition so assume it can still be 'hot wired'! When dos the Lexus get stolen?? Someone I know in Southgate also almost had those Beemer taken yesterday in the same way they tried mine, thankfully they weren't successful! Scumbags!
  20. I know! It's a friggin Galaxy!! The Beemer I can understand, which some f*#%er tried to take on my drive in December, but this is just a bit of a shock!
  21. Well that was short lived! Car was stolen on Monday! Here's a pic from the cctv of it leaving the carpark! It over took the BMW and the Mondeo behind did the same and as such is a suspect car, luckily we were able to get the Reg, they certainly drove it like you stole it They were even kind enough to leave me a souvenir Just going through the motions of the claim and then start the search for a new motor, that is unless they find it before the insurer settles the claim. Anyone know what the deal is if it is found before the claim is settled? I don't want it back, but do I have an option? I suspect it's been cloned but you never know, it may turn up!!
  22. I bought this kit some time ago, I've known a few that have used it and the results are great, still not got round to doing mine https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0078IHJ1K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cglDxb7F02RGQ
