  1. Nice review, sounds defo worth having some in the boot just in case. I would love to get some winter tyres its just the cost at the moment but these do look like a doable alternative.
  2. but next time I need a fine tune I wont have all day mate
  3. Thanks for the info Tony, I never experienced this before in all my time owning a car. By the time I drove to the tyre place I could hardly put any power down as the traction control would just come on all the time. I know I havent run the pressures low FWTW Its occured on both tyres but the OS one isnt so visible from the outside face. Whats the process for raising these types of issues with tyre manufacturers?
  4. I had the tyres take off this afternoon and when you feel inside of the tyre you can feel where around a third of the tyre has ballooned. You can feel a raised ballooned bit where as the rest of the tyre wall is flat and attached. Very strange wondering now if its a manufacturing fault?
  5. Well I feel silly, it looked like the bulge had gone as I had popped out last night and the wheel rested in a different position It defo needs changing having looked in the daylight and its spongy to touch compared to the other side which is very hard. I will post a pic tho when I get time to complete the thread in case it can help another person out.
  6. I think the answer is to go for a drive and see if it happens again and take some proper pics. I was tired last night so maybe Im just seeing things On a side note made some calls about tyres and two places told me that Falken dont make the 452's in my size............but they are on my wheel at the mo
  7. Strange I went to take the dog for a walk and thought I would have a look and the buldge has gone I can only assume its present when the tyre warms up and the air expands within the tyre showing a fault, Im slightly confused now Actually I dont know what Im worrying about really its a potential safety issue and they are only falkens. Im sure if I had a blowout at 70 on the M5 I would be cursing my money saving for sure.
  8. Oh no Tony Im not suggesting its WIM's fault in any way, its just one of those things really. On my way home there was some built up ice on the roadside and I was forced to go over it due to another car coming the other way. Didnt feel like a big deal but must have been the cause as I checked my tyre pressures last night and would have noticed it then.
  9. Will do mate, Im assuming it being softer than the rest of the tyre ect... isnt a good thing
  10. Took a pic but you cant really see it very well. Its bulged in the lower part of the side wall about 4inch where the wheel rim is. When I push its noticably softer than the rest of the tyre and compared to the drivers side tyre.
  11. I didnt want to bother you mate, saw the lotus shes lovely I thought he was struggling with setting it all as the front was up and down like a yo yo Thanks about the fine tuning I will see how it performs at the mo its happy days
  12. Big thanks to the WIM guys today for sorting out my geo setup. I wasnt expecting a massive difference, but I approached a local large round about and normally the car has drifted across quite abit. I was prepared for this but it just held firm and turned as intended I was impressed to say the least. So all I can say is was when Tony said my previous set up was pants he wasnt kidding the difference now is night and day. Yes its cost a fair bit to sort out but im pleased I got it sorted and even more pleased I choose to make the trip to WIM. Now just need to save up for some beefier ARB's
  13. Well after spending the best part of my day enjoying the WIM customer area and the delights of daytime tv, Ive got home to find my NSF tyre seems to have a bulge in it . I will try and post some pics when I get a chance. This Im assuming 100% needs to be changed? and Im assuming I need to change the pair as well? Im annoyed as I could have had them changed when at WIM. Since having the motor I have had MichelinSP2's, Vredstein Sessanta's (on the rear at mo) and currently the falkens 452's which one of them now has the bulge. I know everyone seems to have an opinion on tyres but any experiences would be welcome as what tyres to go for.
  14. Nahhhhh, Lotus Esprit is the British supercar that at the time robbed Ferrari of looks, hence the reason the Bond film used the Esprit Your preaching to the converted mate
  15. Tony I think that meant to be a compliment
  16. Wow I really like that, agree the colour is mustard but I still like it.
  17. If your in Worcs and looking for OEM set up, ETB in worcester near the pc world / home base has a proper hunter system. They are okay but only if you want the std OEM setting sorted. Other than that I think there is a WIM approved centre in Gloucester best check out the WIM site to see how local they are.
  18. you wont have to listen to anymore
  19. Is that from personal experience or just from listening to others? Wow Im feeling the love from you Tango and Cash please dont assume because Im a newb on this forum Im clueless with other things. My father has one of those blade things he insists on using it, having spent some hard earned days holiday on paint correction for his car I can safely say yes I do know what damage they can do. I guess he is and always will be deluded that a little bit of rubber that wipes off the water cant hurt
  20. Like has been said only takes a spec to on the blade to cause alot of RDS over the bodywork. I wouldnt use them as its just not worth the risk IMO just trying to impart abit of knowledge thats all.
  21. I think when it comes to the whole JDM VIP scene the junction produce guys refer to it as low and slow
  22. Tony you where using a shammy thats like number 2 WMD of detailing second only to those rubber blades that swipe the water of the bodywork Like ER has hinted 2BM is the way forward after some Snow Foam action
