  1. Car seams to be driving better after they fitted new tyres, but he's given up on it! He suspects the geo or something has been altered to make it appear to drive better. They have fitted dunlop tyres which are a pile of rubbish in terms of road noise and grip. Lexus uk and the rrg group have been absolutely diabolical in terms of customer service. So much so, he had traveled 47 miles to buy a toyota hilux outside of the rrg grouup . . . .
  2. Looking good fella! Just need some power upgrades after all this work to lug it around!
  3. Looking good fella! Just need some power upgrades after all this work to lug it around!
  4. Lexus have basically come back and said we cant force any dealers to repair or service a car. The letter also states "legally" that its only intended for the person whom its addressed to, hence not wanting to share the full letter. He's sending it to Carilse for a service and is going to keep an eye on tyre wear, incase they have changed the settings outside spec to counteract the problem. He's looking at possibly selling the car, for a pickup as hes just taken over a building company, but it won't be a Hilux due to Toyotas / Lexus failings regarding customer service, and not giving damms that he's had the Lexus brand for 10 years, over 3 cars!
  5. That IS sounds mean once its bouncing off the limiter!
  6. Hes now contacted a managing director at either Lexus or Toyota and has had a response from them. I'm just waiting for the emails then i will post here. Safe to say i think the car will be going within the next year, as the nearest main dealer is Chester and the car is based in Manchester . . . .
  7. Someone has been out, but seamed to be very friendly with RRG Bolton. So much so he walked right into the center principal's office and put his coat in there. Where are Lexus GB based, as they offer no help over the phone in regards to complaints, as "they cannot force a centre to complete repairs or look at cars"
  8. I've posted it on Lexusownersclub, and going to give RRG a few days to respond to the machine polishing prices. Next step is watchdog, and start tagging Lexus GB and Bolton in this forum post, the one over on LOC and see what comes of it. Lexus GB and Bolton IMO have been shocking. He has had a problem with the Stockport RRG branch before, so maybe its the full RRG group? Problem with part ex is the amount he would loose, but is looking like an option. The car is going to Carlisle for a service, and have been forwarded all emails. It's the last thing they want since they have not done any repairs on the car . . . .
  9. Well Here we go! This is the first letter that was sent to RRG Head office regarding getting the car back, in November, for around the 15th time of it being in First Letter Second Letter Third Letter The final phone conversation with Lexus GB regarding Lexus Bolton Ann from RRG's responce - They refuse to communicate with me any further so i had to go through lexus gb Lexus gb response was we can not make dealerships see you or carry out repairs that is down to the individual dealerships. (what is then the point of lexus gb) They spoke to ann and i was offered £170 for cancellation of the contract and £125 for a machine polish. I have since cancelled the service contract myself with the underwriters and received £260.07 back (£90 more than rrg offered), i have also had quotes on machine polishing and this ranges from £350-£500 Happy new year RRG & Lexus
  10. Could someone provide the details of Lexus UK managing directer here, can't access LOC . . . . . Lexus UK have been useless in terms of customer care, they have not been in contact regarding anything. RRG Group is beyond useless, so much so, the car is going to Carilse for the next service. The only route he could take is have an independent report done on the car, and try to claim on that basis. But it's complicated so he's now thinking about selling the car, and getting another brand. I did have a contact at Manchester RRG where the car went, we *think* they discovered something as the car was then sent to Bolton without being asked - I've messaged him direct and hes not responded. To be fair he probably thinks we are going to use it again'st bolton etc. I'm trying to get the letters from my Dad, so i can post them here, just to warn people away from the RRG Group at Bolton.
  11. Hello. Sorry for the major lack of updates. The car has been driving a lot better, although the pull is still apparent if you turn certain directions *sometimes* Example - If your going dead ahead at 50mph, if you pull the wheel hard right to about 5past then back to the middle, the car sometimes begins to drift to the right. Problem is only apparent if your going down a countrylane, turn left and look for the problem. Lexus RRG Bolton are saying that the car has only had 2 new rear tires, and the rears have gone to the front. These are Dunlop tyres which are quite shocking for grip, and the road noise is horrendous. RRG as a group have said they want him to move onto another dealer if anymore problems arrise, for servicing and repairs, thus cancelling the servicing agreement. They have agreed £170 refund, which he has just cancelled it with the company who provide it, and has been given £240 back - Another kick in the teeth. RRG Lexus Bolton have also agreed to pay for a machine polish, after they washed the car with sponges, they have offered £120 - He is now contacting RRG as machine polish (correctly with claybar etc) will cost in the region of £350. If RRG refuse to pay, he's been advised to take it to the small claims court. He is unsure if the car is staying, combined with high servicing costs, the unbearable tyre noise on long distance and the poor bodywork (full of swirls etc from where they have continually washed it) it maybe going. Shame Lexus UK show no support, the e-mail from Lexus said they would look into the case, but can't force a dealer to repair, service or look at a car if they don't want to. So well done to Lexus RRG Bolton, for trying to repair a Lexus GS450H Sport with a creaking noise, ruining the car's handling and how it drives, and then finally giving up after nearly 3 years once you think you have fixed it, and telling the customer to basically not come back.
  12. Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm currently trying to create a page for all the problems to be posted on. I have some letters from rrg which i will upload, but hes currently contacting trsdig standards and watchdog. Its getting complicated as rrg have basically said they dont want him to return for service or repairs, but serive contracts, poor washing causing major swirl marks etc are now invovled. Ill upload the letters this week, but its looking more likley the car will be returned to the point of sale,
  13. Car seams to drive better now even had a go myself! Seams to drive quite true, but if your reversing out of a space with right hand lock, then turn left it seams to get very heavy half way throu. Or if you turn a hard right then try to go left, it also seams very hard. Unsure what Lexus have done, but one thing is for sure, fitting 2 *new* tyres, one with 5mm and one with 6mm to the front is totally unacceptable. He's now going to find another GS H with the same system and have a drive, he's even thinking of bringing it to WIM for yourself to have a drive. The story continues . . . . . . .
  14. Nice motor! Has the lexus been given the boot then?
  15. Love these kind of videos. Just because the cost of that volvo with the conversion will have cost a hell of a lot less than a V10 m5!
  16. I would be worried at doing those speeds in a "propper" car!"
  17. Very very close to almost totally losing it!
  18. Yep. I can only presume the marketing department at rrg gave Bolton a mouth full about the video and was wondering what's going on. Cars going in Monday so will know by mid November if its been fixed. If not the video will be posted via twitter, across all lexus run Facebook groups etc. Its been like this for 2years with this problem . . . . . . .
  19. And when I say big dislike head office at rrg emailed Bolton regarding the video etc. Didn't call Bolton crap or anything just posted the video. They was totally bemused by the video, and even went as far as saying they was going to "have a word with my father" over the posts. Ffs I'm 25 and the video was to aid you!!
  20. No news on this yet apart from lexus Bolton taking a big dislike to it appearing on there news feed. I didn't have an email so posted the video on behalf of my old man, samepost as here with what was going on in the video.
  21. Well i would like more details of what car they replaced it with please
  22. It was close but he did move over as much as possible as he was also being overtaken. He was a c**k for giving you the middle finger, i would of just ignored you and continued with my journey . . . .
  23. Tyre pressures have been set by lexus. They have mentioned tyres at least 6 times. They even wanted me to fit a new set at £800 so they could prove it was tyre related, 2 Sets down the line and the problem is still existent
