On the subject how Conti MO and Porsche N1/2 differ from others ?
-
Had a bit of an off this morning on the way to work. Back end snapped out exiting a roundabout I later found-out is notorious for diesel spills. She fishtailed before spinning and bouncing over the central reservation (basically a largeish kerb). No external damage but theres a pull to the left so wheel alignment is probably shagged. No nasty noises and nothing looks too bad when I got it on a ramp. Just glad there were no cars nearby and the reservation didn't have a barrier. Never had the backend break away like that before. It was weird though as I drove to work on a whim (which I never do) and avoided my usual route and followed the road signs for a different route (I hate driving via signs so I never do that either).

Are the compound codes readily avaliable ? Something else I can use to wind-up our idiot supervisor ha ha. Interesting though. Not as if the garage is likely to replace the tyres because of a compound code which they, presumeably, don't understand or knew existed ?

Messes up the screen format a little but no big deal. When I get some decent shots of the Silvia you'll have to done one for me!

Toyota motor ? Or, eugh, K-Series ?
-
so it's set for March now ? Actually suits me as Jan is tricky for time off. edit: oh, nice grahic ER

One of the S12OC peeps in America is after some Euro Spec tail lights for swapsies and I quite fancy the Yank equivilants. What do we think ?
-
Doesn't the Omega suffer from such a big camber angle ie; forward stability on the autobahns ?
-
That's surprising as I've always associated deep camber with an aggressive set-up. If you'd asked, I would have said the Scoob would have run more camber than the Omega. I suppose 1d40" would be aggresive for the Imprezza ?
-
fore/aft or across the axle ? or both ?
-
transition ? do you mean from DA to lock (as the SR migrates) ?
-
How do you go about moving the beam without unintentionaly shifting the whole car ?
-
Is the turbo in a crazy orange and (IIRC) green colour scheme ? They did some BBR turbos celebrating a LeMans win or some such. Wasn't the '5 that won LeMans, like.
-
could you go into more detail. How/why etc ?
-
Certainly for the toe positions but not the camber. That's interesting. Remind me to ask about that later. Is it because the Omega has soft squishy sofabarge suspension ?
-
dunno, not really ? I actually find the filling and sanding (pre paint prep) the most interesting part. Kinda relaxing I guess ?
-
Only thing I can think of is the scoob having power put through front and rear wheels ?
-
I got a bit excited and had to start my Airfix 1/72 General Dynamics F16 Falcon -Almost ready for primer after only a couple hours. The running time of Star Wars:Phatom Menace anyway. Plus an episode of the simpsons while ITV had the news on (half way through the film !!) Needed lots of filling and sanding though. -Shows just how large the russian fighters are. All 3 are about ready for primer.

how was the caterham for the geo ?
-
displays okay for me!
-
typo should be; "this energy requires the driver to counteract with a correction..."
-
y'see I prefer the Supra enginebay to the Skyline posted earlier. Minimal colour, everything looks functional. Just IMHO. Haven't seen many caterhams with the full front wings.

We've already established camber moves toward negative on bump and positive on rebound. Lowered/stiffer suspension reduces the radii allowing for more aggrssive static camber, depending on how the driver wants the car to behave ofcourse. There's a discussion on the 200SXOC about camber. Some members are claiming to be running >2' front camber without excessive tyre wear. That seems unlikely to me ?
