Tony
This kit car ended up with a very poor chassis result, concluding in zero steering return. In order to pass it's test we where given the challenge...... The running gear is based on the Sierra but it has hybrid ARB and twin A arm pick up points, after an initial calibration we had there problems.... 1: 14 degrees of castor this rolled the camber so far positive on lock there was no way the steering would return. On this car the castor is fixed but the build is an ARB through the lower control arm, so we had the ARB machined and additional thread added so we could adjust the castor back Now with a castor at 4 degrees ( not ideal ) we could move on. 2: SAI was reading 12d and 16d respectively, this means the influence of the SAI on steering return was, well nothing? The lower control arm is fixed, although the upper pickup point shows the possibility of adjustment by shimming the anchor point This has the effect of lifting the SAI but it also moves the camber positive...... Here we go again. To be continued........

Tony
Today we spaced the upper "A" arm pickup points and replaced the ARB with a Sierra one the result was zero camber 9d SAI and 4d castor, we added +20' toe and job done Admittedly there are some over the axle disparities but it's a kit car at the end of the day and we cannot perform miracles.
