Tony
I have two of Team Greens cars to calibrate Monday ready for their off to Portugal on Weds.... One of the car has been modified so that there's no Ackermann angle on lock..... Should be interesting.... Pictures to follow
CIH
I'm thinking it's a fairly easy mod to install (assuming the initiator is the TRE) but where's the benefit ? Something to do with the big lock-angles, maybe ? Amyway, this is supposed to be top-secret, cloak 'n' dagger isn't it ?
jackherer
Zero ackermann for drift has always made sense to me, ackermann is for turning and drifting isn't turning, the front wheels are pretty much pointing where the car is going so there is no benefit to adding extra toe when the steering wheel is turned. jackherer
Something to do with the big lock-angles, maybe ? I imagine that will be a pleasant side effect but the ackermann change is the main benefit?
Tony
Holy grail is to have plenty of lock angle with a zero camber.
