an easy way to remove a nut from a spinning shaft (this will only work if there is enough thread and if the nut is not seized, otherwise you'll risk damaging the remaining thread) is to screw on 2 nuts, lock them together, loosen the offending nut, unlock the locked nuts, tada.......only works with a spanner on the lowermost nut though, obviously...

Wise words..... i have never thought of that method... well done!

bloody women

my motto is fast becoming:

leave what could be done today,

because tomorrow she will have changed her mind ;)

No...No mate.... Don't let janey see this man talk or it will blow our cover... Excuses should be....

1: Sorry luv i need a special tool for that job. (then buy your next man tool :D )

2: Have the shop pump up the cost of her repair as part deposit for your own cars modifications :D

3: Explain that whilst mending her car you wont have time to furnish the gardening so she has to do it... then out of sight...... tinker with your own car instead :D

4: Make it obvious that you have spent.. hours and hours researching a resolution online in all manner of forums and suggested web sites, desperately seeking conclusive results regarding the issue.... (porn :D ) and you are now exhausted from this research requiring bed ;)

5: Try again tomorrow

Well I would do things myself, but I need guidance and a strong man to help ;) and I'm not sure Barrie has full faith in my workwomanship for example :

Last week I had a day off work.........I said to him that I had 2 choices, either go shopping or play with the car...............he said "Go shopping"
