adam_r Posted June 1, 2021 Report Share Posted June 1, 2021 We used to have a door at work similar to that, probably half the thickness of steel and then acoustic cones on the inside. It was for a giant audio frequency 'vibration' chamber to test satellites before launching. The vibration used to shake the building at a very low frequency and it was rather impressive. The other place they have those types of doors is for centrifugal test facilities that are build in the ground... Stops stuff from exiting the building at rapid rates!
