fluff34567
Hi all, My friend has a BMW 2007 525 diesel estate with the factory run flats. All 4 wheels are wearing on the inside, I remember an old post from Tony with a similar issue on a x5. Are there revised settings for the 525d to reduce the wear? Thanks in advance. Tony
Problem is BMW maintained the geometry positions for control at optimum speed. The issue is the RFT cannot deform and adopt the sport positions. Most times the main problem is the rear since this has the most negative camber. We simply use the camber tolerance and dial that out. Taking camber away will affect handling but only at the top end speed wise.
fluff34567
hi Tony, Many thanks for the response, if i understand correctly its a case of moving the rear camber to the max positive tolerance to reduce the inner wear or do you have some alternate settings available ? Tony
No just dial out the tolerance otherwise warning lights will come up on the dash.
