Tony
What a beauty. Look at the auto extending front spoiler too....
DaveyR
I quite like the look of this. Quite a lot of people on PH suggesting the last generation (997) was better looking, but I disagree, this one looks a bit more aggressive to my eyes and looks the better for it. Not short of poke either.......
adam_r
hmm a new petrol VNT Porsche! the old turbo was lovely, this is very nice! only thing that worries me is the amount of electronics!
phipck
i wonder how exactly that front splitter operates? it seems to roll down, like a rubber slip being unfurled
Tony
Engineering i love it..... It's like some of the Ferrari's that have an option to raise the suspension over bumps, ingenious foresight.
adam_r
i wonder how exactly that front splitter operates? it seems to roll down, like a rubber slip being unfurled probably stores underneath the front lip when not in use and a set of hydraulic rams push the spitter down and forward in to place. pretty complex, and I bet expensive if you have a frontal nudge with another car
phipck
thats what i thought but the section of video that shows it come down, it seemed to almost roll into place, which didnt make sence to me as i was expecting a solid piece sliding into place
parthiban
Many have been complaining that the new turbo is PDK only but I don't really see what the issue is - look on autotrader for a manual and it makes perfect sense why Porsche have decided not to make it! I agree the 991 looks the best, each iteration refines the design even more and the current version looks awesome. In fact the new boxster (a car I've never been that interested in looks wise) looks stunning as well!
DaveyR
I think all of the new models look lovely to be honest, boxster, cayman, 991. I'd more than happy to own any of them!
