Rick101
Hi, Planning on doing a bit of touring later this year and the little Mazda will need some tyres. its a 2005, 1.8 Sport, iirc 205/45/16 Any recommendations? Bought with Nexen 6000's and these are still on the car. Handles quite well but if there are any other services which could improve this I would be interested. Thanks. p.s only 33K on the car. It's not had a hard life.
Tony
The Nexen is not a bad tyre, a good one for the 5's are Toyo T1R or Falken 452.
Rick101
Any other recommended changes bar a geo? I recall the dealer saying it had uprated springs due to it being 'sport' but have not checked these.
Tony
It has uprated dampers, gas rather than oil, the coils are the same.
joeB12
Toyo Proxes T1R is the preferred tyre on the 5's, suit them very well for all styles of driving. Other than that, the coils (either WIM or Eibach) and a geometry setup is the first modification I'd recommend. From there, if you wanted to really go for it, the Miltek sports exhaust system is a very wise choice. I think I just described my ideal car
