  1. So was it Mark that supplied the erroneous information on my Eibach's ??? The info came directly from Eibach themselves
  2. This is a nghtmare! Everytime I see the flag I have to stand and salute. I'll never get any work done at this rate
  3. At the hubs it's 665hp and 811 lbs/ft. That's approx 765hp at the flywheel. That's without the nitrous of course, and it's only running at 1.65 bar of boost. The tubochargers max out at around 800hp so the next step is to install larger units
  4. Sam and I have just returned from road testing this car after calibrating the nitrous. All I can say is . It's quick.
  5. There isn't really an "average" temp as it varies between cars, but when cruising and running in etc it will probably be well below 500 deg C
  6. They are available as a separate a part but it needs to be ordered
  7. Since Mike has vented his displeasure in his own forum Ultra-Jap, i may as well let everyone read the current very disappointing developments......( The language is not the norm wim style, please remember that ) http://www.ultrajap.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...18&start=30 It is a very heavy responsibility and an honour to be entrusted with someones pride and joy. It's not to be taken lightly.

Sorry Adie, I just saw this. Yes we can do that for you - just remind me when you book your car in - thanks
  9. Any news on this yet? We are considering doing a similar conversion too
  10. This is a supercharged Nissan 350Z
  11. This is a supercharged Honda S2000 we did last year
  12. This is an GT4 ST185 we did recently
  13. This is a Soarer we built recently (now sadly demised)

    dynamic index

My (very basic) understanding is that the DI is a factor of the relationship beween the vehicles mass and it's wheel base. Sam is off today, so unless he logs on from home this weekend, I will ask him to provide a substantive answer on Tuesday
  15. Dogmatism is the "default setting" of the stupid.
  16. Dave, I have to say that you don't have the right to suggest that other people are behaving like children, after your posts here over the last few days. Your immature "name calling"is the single most unprofessional and infantile act I have seen in public by a Limited Company, ever. The way you choose to avoid detailed questioning on your points and accusations is a clear indication of your lack of knowledge, and your blinkered reliance on a completely discredited 3rd party is nothing short of foolish. However, you are free to conduct yourself and your business in the best way that you see fit, but please do not ever accuse anyone else of being childish.
  17. Wow, that's a lot of work. Well done Jon
  18. I'm hearing you Scorps and in fact spent a while salivating over this wonderous domain but I like a bit of hard work and a challenge. Learning a new skill would also be good I was in the Sea Cadets when I was a kid, and spent some time on HM's glorious vessels including a submarine. Happy Days . Must have a bit of a Sailor in me methinks (no jokes about the barrel with a hole please )
  19. Fair play to you Tony I have been in this situation many times before. People often come to TDi with their dreams or a wish list, and sometimes we have to suggest an alternative methodology if there are flaws in the plan. If there are genuine reasons for the suggested alternatives, the owner will appreciate the sound advice sooner or later. One of my dreams is to own a yacht and sail around the Med (and before you ask - yes, all friends and good clients are welcome too ). Sadly I don't know anything about yachts or the sea, so will be reliant on professionals to tell me if any of my ideas are rubbish.
  20. I believe that as an industry professional you should take the responsible view and decline the offer. Regardless of the request, you still have a duty of care to your client and other road users. A half decent Barrister would rip you to shreds if it all went horribly wrong Looks like shining star needs a dedicated track car or track side support to change the settings between and road and drift.
  21. Let it settle in for a while mate then you can optimise the damper settings to suit your preference. Ride height bias can be optimised too
  22. The ride height bias can be optimised to improve the Dynamic Index if needed
  23. The new TDi project car has a Dynamic Index of around 1.7, which is a very long way from ideal. I think we have a bit of a challenge with this project
  24. It's a tapered thread Barrie, so that it self tightens as it screws in. Most engineering hardware shops sell them. Zeus tables tell you the correct size of drill bit (the engineering shop will halp you with this, but let me know if you're struggling). is it an 8mm thread ? should i ask for what is written, will they understand or is it known as a tapered thread tap ? is the tap tapered or the thread being screwed into it ? i think im having a blonde day today 1/8th is an old imperial plumbing size (I think). Noah invented it for the central heating on the the Ark. They will know exactly what you mean. You can order it from W. L Cooke on 0208 590 3279. Ask for a "one eighth BSPT tap" Hope this helps. thanks mark the problem is , as far as i can see the hole is not 1/8 its more like 8mm ! the way its written looks like it says 1/8th hence the confusion could this mean an 8mm with a 1mm thread ?? That's becasue Noah didn't have milimetres It probably means an eighth of a roll of parchment paper or something. It's an old plumbing size. They will tell you what drill bit size you need when you order the tap, but you'll probably find it's about 8.5mm
