  1. The subframe would go to the offside though wouldn't it?
  2. What is couldn't work out was why the guy unclamped the steering wheel 3 times during this sitting?it's not the usual guy there anymore as he is running the main garage now.
  3. Sorry move subfarame to towards the n/s but then the castor will go the wrong way right?
  4. So I recently replaced track rod ends and track arms, lower arms and top mount bushes upfront Id like to address the front camber and maybe the caster a little as the n/s front wheel looks to sit forward when looking at the car side on. After the alignment the car drove really nice but holding wheel to the right when driving but in a flat road it is nearly level.. All after measurements atmre in the green but I feel something is still not quite right imo? If I was to move the subframe over to the o/s slightly this should balance out the camber some more correct? Also the rear camber is out but now the rear toe is bang on.the rear toe has always been out on this car so I am baffled with the rear now.. I can get shims for the rear...
  5. Haha i had like 2mm ice on mine and that was hard work haha
  6. I've put the old gurl out of her misery and weighed it in yesterday.. Got a Leon tdi 130 for work now
  7. I've had gaz golds on many of my pugs and thought they was good tbh. If I buy anything I'll just buy a cheapo set of coilovers off ebay for now but no work no dolla so no new shiny bits or a replacement work car for me atm
  8. I copied and pasted this from my thread on a Vauxhall forum.. Not getting much response from them

I've got a 2007 reg vectra estate and ever since I've had it it skates left at the rear across drain covers wet or dry and when you hit a hole or lump it the road and its now getting a lot worse.. Its had new shocks and springs up front and the same up back, apex lowered springs and ta technik shocks.. Poly bushed rear lower arm outer bushed and new banana arm too. On inspection all other parts including lower arm bushes are in good shape. It did this before all the new suspension was fitted too Anyone shed some ideas on this please
  10. No that's why I've been trying to find somewhere to refurbish them. Apax do not do refurbishments so no point buying these
  11. I think they are just hight adjustable and I have brand new top mounts but turns out one damper is screwed and needs a refurb, I've spoke to apex and this is something they no longer do
  12. I've had spring sets from apex before and been quite impressed with them. I've just found some apex RDX coilovers in used condition with bilstien rear shocks and springs to suit my astra.. Look to be in good shape although they are from an astra G but pretty much every thing is identical under the body so I'm pretty certain they will fit all be it a top mount change to make them fit mine
  13. Yes mate it's booked in for next week
  14. OK then so yesterday I removed the recently replaced lower arms and took them back for a swap over for a new pair. Certainly drives way better than it was... Managed to do a warranty swap of the arms there and then as my supplier rang febi direct and Feb I was happy to replace them free of charge No visible signs of defect of than the bushes seem to be softer then on the replacement arms..
  15. I'll have to once I'm back in work and can replace what ever is broke.. Till then ill have to surfer it as my work car is down due to a dead duel mass flywheel
  16. Think I'll pull it apart as I do t have any spare cash for suspension now anyway
  17. I fif that today mate.. Got nothing loose worn o. The that the eys can touch or my hands can see. Upfront seems to be OK on a visual along with some wheel shaking trying to find any play but all seems to be where I left it last two ime it was Apart :ponder: Looks like it's suspension time then!!! The springs arnt as firm as they should be now, plus the drivers side is sat lower by 5mm too.. Didn't want to be buying new shocks ro but I may not have a. Choice.. Its starting to crash through all the bad bits on the roads now as well
  18. Well something definitely isn't right tonight as it's gone a bit sloppy on the bend and not plesent to drive. Got some noises up front again which sounds just like it did when the ball pint and front Bush on both lower arms gave up last month... I think the konis might be coming to the end of their lifw as are the H+R springs
  19. I've been trying to locate the manufacturer settings for the rears but not having much luck atm TONY are you able to tell me please? Untill I k ow that I'm actually unsure what side is out
  20. This is my favourite and most genius one imo
