  6. Bit of an update - Now I have me new wheels on I thought I'd visually compare the difference between the arch lip and the side of the tyre. There's doesn't seem to be much in it though. Now as the rears of the old wheels are stamped ET20 I thought the difference would be very noticeable. But there only seems to be about 5mm of difference. But they I also have to consider the fact the new rims are 7" wide, the old ones are 6.5" and the old tyres are 205, the new ones 215 Anyway, now they're off the car is there a way I can measure the offset accurately with a tape measure? They're going on fleabay tonight either way...
  7. Cool I will keep them at 30 then...what about when I've got a full load?
  8. I'll probably start on 30psi and see how they look/feel. I am getting 45 mate, was wondering if the pressure should be more cos I'm not getting the standard size of 40
  9. Getting me new wheels tomorrow Just wondering what pressure 215/45r17 tyres should be on? I currently have 205/50r16 are these are on 30/31 all round. But as I've gone for a bigger tyre size than what's recommended (215/40) should I put a couple more psi in them?

  15. Cheers for that!..... My pc has lost it's sound abilities. So i am deaf to the sounds..... Time to put more coal in the old windows... No problem!
  16. Just watched the vid...sounds awesome
  17. The clutch was a beast... Three times i stalled the car going up the ramp runs...... Oh how the owner laughed I suppose that got a bit frustrating! I have that problem but with revving. Cos I have a diesel I have to put me foot down to get it going. If I ever drive a petrol I over rev it!
  18. I would look but I'm at work!!
  19. Very tidy mate, bet you're well chuffed
  20. Two years left That's ok then... So if it were to break up like your photo and was a fault of the tyre would I be entitled to a replacement even though it's a part worn? What exactly do the manufacturers guarantee? The guarantee is against manufacturing defects.... The tyre is sent back for inspection (free to you) and inspected to asses liability. The refund is a percentage for the unused remaining tread... Half worn then half your replacement fee back. So I guess you need to prove you actually bought the tyre from new? Otherwise people could be buying badly damaged worn ones that are still guaranteed and try to claim on them?

  22. I bought a part worn tyre that's on me car now a few weeks ago. Just checked the date, it says 2304. So has this gone out of date or has it got another 2 years left?
  23. Damn that's low! Doesn't it catch any where? Welcome to WIM as well
