  1. I will never, ever, ever, ever wear overalls again, they look horrible and every time you raise your arms above your head you end up seriously separating the twins, if you know what i mean I think you & Mark should have pale blue shirts with little logos on like the guy in the video ....and of course keep them nice & clean all day like he does
  2. Definately worth taking the trip as Tony really knows his 5's - 'Amazed' (Adam) who is on the OC & SERoadsters lives in Brighton but makes the trip up as he says its definately worth it for the peace of mind
  3. Just to reiterate what Barrie said Thanks so much to Tony & Mark for sorting Poggys 'pidgeon toes' he felt way more 'planted' on the drive home :bigeyed: Great to see you both & Pete again. Very impressed with the centre and the excellent tea & coffee making facilities, & I can't wait to see the magic tyre machine in action
  4. Shame its all had to come to a standstill Marcus Good luck with the job search though
  5. Sorry to hear that Noel Must have been one heck of a hole, hope the damage cost doesn't come out too high for you What are the chances of trying to claim off the council/highways dept ? Although it will depend if the hole has already been reported or not
  6. Willkommene Dave A saubere Schleife mit einem neuen Besen ist gerecht, welches WIM Sachen helfen muß, glatt und produktiv zu laufen Just practicing for the Summer/Autumn Wonder if they do a travel version of babelfish
  7. best thing would be a driver ROFL Can't wait to see the car 'in the flesh' and even more to see it on the track ...sitting here green with envy Dave
  8. Congrats Tony, thats excellent news, well done
  9. Nice job Jammy although I'm sure it must have been Tony's shopstewarding role that made it be such a great job
  10. Eyes are a bit fuzzy but....are half the numbers still out of range ?? and some even worse than they were before
  11. Just remember to start painting at the end furthest from the door Tony
  12. Well I always avoid roads with speed bumps ( the 5 used to take the tops off them & Poggy's front skirt scrapes on them) I don't bump up pavements (well not since I've not had an old company car) But.....how the hell do I avoid potholes - they are everywhere !! driving anywhere round our way is like going out on an assault course
  13. Hey Mark, I think from memory the standard wheels are about 12-14kg so yes you should definately be lighter Daft thing is I had some wheels which weighed in at 5kg but the tyres weighed in at about twice that
  14. My daughter wants to know how many of them were hairdressers? She is keen on the MR2. She and her husband have had all three versions and are concerned that Toyota seem to have no plans for a new sports car for the UK. In consequence she may have to look at an MX5 but is concerned about its "image". I don't think they will ever shake off the 'hairdressers car' tag Weird thing is that the majority are actually owned by blokes who aren't even hairdressers. The 5 is a popular great fun car with loads of scope for tweeking if you want to, even if the Mk3 does need lowering a foot before it looks good you have access to a great handling (if Tony sets it up) car. Best bet is for them to go & have a look on the MX5 OC http://www.mx5ocforum.co.uk/ & the Toyota OC http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/ read about the 2 and see the communities and what they all say TBH although the 5 is great, I'd rather have a MR2 Roadster if I had to choose between the two (waits for the brick throwing to commence)
  15. Excellent turn out Not sure I've ever seen that many 5's in one place apart from JAE
  16. LOL last nights 'boy racer' car not only had the spacers but also the camber They put a front strut brace on to try and stop the wheels parting company even more pic here http://www.discoverychannel.co.uk/chopshop...ar_7.shtml?no=5 Apparently a good 45deg helps you go fast round corners better
  17. We watch it every week They seem to use spacers like that on every car they do & I can't see how they can be safe and must put so much strain on (let alone the rest of the 'cut & shut' style of the cars) Every time they do a 'test drive' I wait for something to fall off or break
  18. I shouldn't think anyone would mind at all Plus it would give me someone to 'Roadster talk' with and convince you that you definately need to swap it for a Lex
  19. LOL yep its all your fault for causing Tony such confusion Declan ....nothing to do with me
  20. 'Fraid your 'red mist' expert will be doing her duty at Barkston Heath cheering Barrie & Dave on Good luck & hope you have a great day though
  21. Low cars are out of the question now....maybe able to get in, but theres no way I could get out Your 5 is a beaut so hopefully it will sell quickly and at a good price Mabel has gone to Coventry so I've got a very nice 306 Rallye to play in now
