Yep, always have a spare set with opposing season tyres on so I can swap as weather dictates. The old Yeti went in part exchange with 4 nearly bald tyres, a knackered battery, and needing a major service. To keep it roadworthy would've cost me over £1100.

Well, it's been a joy to have a heated seat which works. Got the winter wheels and snow tyres on yesterday which has vastly improved the roadholding. Heated windscreen is very handy too. No sat nav but has android auto so the phone links to it and provides Google maps. All in all, very happy.

Very clean and tidy. Way less miles and heated seats that work this time. No sunroof to leak, aircon that cools, 10bhp more, Android Auto built in, keyless entry and push button start, stop start system all in all a nice place to be really.
-
Coffee break. While a nice chap measures the seats to make some custom seat covers.

Three hours in and stopped for a coffee break. Another 100 miles or so to go I guess.

Just setting off to go collect it.

Oh, and it's not really very exciting y'know.

VW Tiguan. Oh no it isn't. That's what I'm buying for the wife to replace her Skoda Octavia.

Then that means it's his responsibility, not mine. I don't need people coming knocking on my door complaining "The headlight bulb has failed 6 weeks after you sold it to me!" or "It failed an MOT on the condition of the brake pads" or suchlike. The fact that it passed its MOT in November last year will mean nothing to anyone but the government and the Police I reckon.

Trading it in. It's in need of some major service items like haldex service, cam belt etc. which means a trader will do it and sell it on. I'd only get tyre kickers if I tried to sell private.

This one's near 10 years old, just I've only had it for 3. It's now done 151000 miles in total.

The end is nigh for the old Yeti. Nearly three years of hard use, 50000 miles, and all that went wrong was an exhaust pressure sensor last year. Not even a light bulb needed. Tyres, brake pads and servicing etc. as required and lost £4k in value so round about £1500 per year. Not too bad really. The new motor will be showing up next week at some point.

There were only 8 of most of these particular ones ever made, and only 100 of that style. So they're very rare.

You pay AliExpress at the time of ordering and they hold the money. When you clear the goods and accept them they pay the seller.

I think I have a new winner. Warning, lyrics might offend...

Mine were fitted about a month ago. But that was because the old ones were lose to the end of life and mot was due. They'd be on anyway by now as it's frosty most mornings now.

Ford Mustang Drifts the Nurburgring.....

I don't think of it as a sport. It isn't. It's like you say, skateboarding which is fun for the people doing it but has no sport element until you get to the "first across the line in a downhill race" bit. -

And who decides where the extra points go based on what? All someone's opinion. -

That's it though. Art is all about someones opinion of what is nice. With racing, the first one across the line is the winner, while with drifting the first one to make a nice pretty set of worn tyres and black lines on the road which impresses someone and is first across the line is the winner. You can be first, and lose because you weren't pretty enough. Like many other so called sports which rely on someone judging how well they did (ski jumping "style points" for example).
