  1. you start to get a sense of just how awe inducing these feats of engineering were back then. I can only imagine feeling my chest rumble as the car revs
  2. I know its a couple of posts back but yeh, im just down to the first sip indicator, I think theres 2 on the 3d's its at about 8mm but it could be 6mm. First is before the sips run out and the second is when you reach the last fully functional part of the sips just before they run out at about 3mm (I believe). I have the 4d's on the Grand scenic and its a joy to drive now. On the random different tyres at each corner the car felt so loose, but it feels much more like a coupe than a people carrier now and that's in the dry. I always appreciated what decent tyres felt like over cheap ones.
  3. you will be pleased to hear that your CGI comment isn't a reality. http://www.christiantoday.com/article/mad.max.fury.road.movie.spoilers.film.will.use.less.cgi/40961.htm Im quite excited about this film because they have done the exact opposite using as much live action as possible
  4. I have some Dunlop 4d winters in the boot of my car to be fitter tomorrow on my Grand Scenic. The Dunlop 3d's I had on my xsara (still on there now) lasted 3 years now? I think. just got down to the sip indicator with about 8mm tread left, with normal driving they have been exceptional all year round with no noticeable issues but much better in wet, muddy and of course winter conditions. Hopefully the 4d's are as good as my experience with the 3d's, being on a different car I will have to see!
  5. im sure the moped was innocent, cant say the same for the rider!
  6. I was sure she would have been a gonner with that crash. Glad she survived but what an utter utter stupid thing to do.
  7. I don't understand why people do it, having been a cyclist on the roads for years and having to have my wits about me then learning to drive I never use my phone, eat or drink while driving. If ever something happened and there was even a slight chance I caused it through negligence I know I would beat myself up for ever because of it. If I'm as alert and paying the utmost attention as possible then im far less likely to have to go through something I really wouldn't want to experience. why do people not consider this, it just baffles me. Laziness?
  8. From the video I wouldn't say he was speeding though. Theres loads of articles online now about this incident, all of which keep referring to the driver having previously made videos of showing off and almost all of these articles word their article in a way to suggest the driver was doing so at the time of the incident without specifically saying it explicitly. I struggle to imagine that little damage and that short a distance to stop if they were traveling at more than 30mph ish. At this stage all we have is a car traveling in their lane and another car pulling out infront of them. In which case its that second car whose in the wrong.
  9. im sure someone smarter than me can calculate the speed he was going from the time it took him to travel past the white lines on the floor, im sure they must be a fixed length and youtube videos are 30 frames per second
  10. Thanks guys, im always up for a laugh and of course for charity anything goes really. My 12 year old step son did all the filming, was great fun working with him on something so silly.... think we're going to have to start doing others But this is actually the first time ive ever worn makeup in my 30 years on this planet..... feels horrible..... after 2 days I should really take it off now
  11. Basically a girl takes a photo without makeup and posts it on social media after making a donation to cancer research, after that she nominates a friend and repeat. Its become quite a popular thing on facebook as its seemingly a challenge for girls to not wear makeup. As is always the way my fiancé's brother decided he wanted in on the positive fun and donned some makeup, donated to Macmillan cancer care and then nominated me....... now its my turn http://youtu.be/tW1XBPKu2u8
  12. makes me want to go looking through some barns!
  13. a good excuse for the police to train for VIP convoy. But them bikes were going some in a couple of tight places there!
  14. outstanding what happens when a driver and machine work together flawlessly
  15. The reason he had space for a 4th seat is because the real McLaren has its petrol tank immediately behind the central driving position the other side of the fire wall. can only assume hes put the tank in the front instead? I really cant help pick bits apart as there are precise reasons for everything in the original. But I did like that he called it the Hammond seat as its so small
  16. if it were anywhere close to the real car and the owner was claiming it to be genuine im sure McLaren would say something regarding copy right...... but other than passing a visual resemblance for the average joe theres a lot that isn't accurate.
  17. feels a little awkward with me as the F1 is my ultimate car. But well done to him for making something he is proud of!
  18. im so envious, I love McLaren with a slightly awkward kind of love
