  2. i seriously hope these pictures are a hoax utter disrespect for safety and whoever used that cable to hold things together Also i bet his tracking was spot on and there was no 'weird' pulling sensations as he drove down the road. what car is this also ?
  3. oh the Mc donalds tray 'drifting' bunch of muppets .. you could tell he had not even been driving for that long as the sheer lack or car control. morons get what they deserve.... im glad its another ford off the road though
  4. some one has a re-mapped car amount of soot that car is putting out
  5. how about this one ??? http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=168_1276830400&p=1 oh and this one is even better! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Eedm0rAqo
  6. oh man that picture remindes me of Le Mans this year. I was in the tertre rouge campsite and there was a guy in there that had brought along some of his ferraris.. 288 gto F40 360
  7. oh SH*T, bet the crew of that ship where crapping themselfs as the bridge came down
  8. speed of the main rotor should never change once the helicopter is in flight. only things that change are pitch & angle of rotor head / blades speed of tail rotor. basically some one has calculated the rpm of the motor then set the same fps as the main rotor blades.... kinda weird though
  9. Thats pretty serious stuff . did you send the above to HUK or did you go straight to HJP ? Reason being, in past issues Honda Japan pride themselfs in a good quality product and hate to see something returned to a customer that does not meet their set criteria. Unfortunately since Honda have started producing in Swindon, the Civic , HRV and a few others of their range have dropped in build quality and really is noticable. I myself Own an accord (7th gen) and all accords are made in Japan, same with the S2000 and a few others and purchased the accord over the civic for this reason. You probably know what your doing so i wont teach you how to suck eggs, but dont give HUK any slack. If Honda want to send out an inspector / mechanic to see this vehicle it may be worth asking if you can request some one. ask for the master tech from Holdcroft Honda in Stoke on trent, top bloke and seriously knows his stuff.
  10. hows this going tony ? would love to keep in touch with what honda have to say!
  11. its american.... why do you even need to ask Tony
  12. can you give us a few sneaky pics of the damage that has been substained ??? maybe in the HOTW part of the forum
  13. still utterley gob smacked a dealer would even try this
  14. Tony. i would advise you and the AA to write a detailed report on your findings and send them to HUK... or even HJP. Honda UK or Honda japan. they take customers complaint very seriously, also name and shame the dealer so i can warn the other honda forums. this was not an accord by any chance as our forum know of an accord that was in a nasty accident and the garage did a cowboyy repair on it.
  15. im in two minds about these show cars. i like the sytle, work and effort gone in to the car and give the owners credit for what they have done... BUT Its usless on the roads, women really arnt in to cars like that.. so the owners only attract the men.. (could this be the same with most mods?) it would be fun to drive about for a couple of days, but to live with / own.... not for me thanks
  16. it maybe wise to get it on a rolling road tony, not for finding out just what the power is doing but also more importantly the A/F ratios and other bits a peices they can measure. you may be heavily overfueling when on boost. a lot of cars do run rich on WOT as this cools the engine. but inside the cabin isnt good.
  17. Wow. looks like you have alot of work cut out for you guys. I admire the work put in to your extensive push to get better fitters / allignement thoughout the country. it must take HUGE balls, courage and dare i say it... some insanity. I really hope you and the other WIM guys manage to push the market and open peoples eyes on the importance of a correctly set up geo / car.
  18. Nice to see it comming together Tony... One thing i will ask though is... i thought you where able to supply vredestien tyres ? i dont see those on the supply list when i view the tyres you have. Adam
  19. your pictures got me LOLing in my office!
  20. ER If you do do Tonys Lotus please take paint depth readings before you start. the last thing you would want to do is go through the top layer IMHO Tony and this is no respect to ER as he has made a very generous offer. for something like your lotus, you would be better getting a pro in to do the work. they will analys your paint and see what is going on depth wise and how much they can afford to remove without effecting the clearcote or damaging the paint. if you cut the clearcote too thin then this leaves the paint open for UV to get it and start to destroy the paint (fading). which ever path you take, please provide pleanty of before/after pics
  21. how does than not supprise me Nore me, i see it so often i forget to be shocked. Do BMW drivers think tyres last forever then or they don't feel the need to check them! i think its the fact that 90% of them think the world revolves around their ego. they fail to check oil, tyres and general 'normal' things on a car before driving because either: their car should tell them its ready for new bits or the dealership told them so
  22. thats a stunning time round the ring! eagerly awaiting this vid
  23. depending on where your based and how long you can live without the car + how much you want to spend will all come in to it Tony. I have my car detailed about 1 time a year maybe once every 2 years. costs me about £250 -£300. my advice is get on to detailing world and ask around. one thing you have to consider is money, i know it sounds silly but a pro will take your lotus and make it shinier and better looking than it has ever been (including leaving the dealership with its first owner!), BUT it will cost you a bit. if your not that bothered and still wash your cars with a sponge (shudders at the thought of you cleaning a lotus esprit with a sponge) then a vast amount of cash you spent on the detail will go down the drain in a wash or two. if you want to keep it looking tip top then you need to spend some time learning how to clean your car properly btw you can get finnishes like this (my old car) (Click to see a bigger pic) bear in mind the car have 134k miles on it and when i picked it up it was a 'faded' red
  24. not a bad time! was it the 2.0 i guess ? if it was a 1.6 then that was a stonking time
