  1. Please tell me what tyres can withstand that horsepower though? Jamie Ps GTR ate tyres in a couple of weeks and that was much less power
  2. Unfortunately this is a reporter who has dragged up old images and made an nonsense story of the s2000's return. If honda ever bring the s2000 back they would have to make it more powerful than the CTR.
  3. Wont happen. F1 is an open cockpit... Still a very pretty car
  4. I have been following these guys for about a year and i find their videos incredibly amusing and a joy to watch some of their engineering tasks. I would say that if you have some time spare.. Sit down watch from episode 1 (linked) up to 11 (so far). https://youtu.be/7hCPODjJO7s
  5. I think that off was due to his tyres getting too hot. Tou can hear in the corners before they really screech, then as he enters that corner he is met with understeer and screeching tyres His save was lucky, but his overall driving was rather poor
  6. I would assume it is. But not quite to the extent that RC helicopters do. Also Dont forget an rc helicopter has an amazing power to weight ratio.( very light and powerful) whilst a full size chopper is pretty dam heavy and does not have tge same power to weight ratio. I know redbull have a stunt helicopter that flys upside down...
  7. Oh Tony. You so silly ! Will never happen. Far too much flex in an aircraft for that. Also the pressure at high altitudes would cause massive cracks. Yea it just aint going to happen.
  8. No explosion.. Just water vaporizing very quickly causing a huge vapor bubble inside the molten liquid. It like holding a balloon in a pool under the water then popping it. The air bubble will rise to the surface (air is lighter than water) and in the process of it coming to the top, it will displace water above it giving the water energy and will push it up and out the way causing some water to ve pushed in to the air
  9. Liner... Are you sure it wasnt there to help with the munchies that the officers where experiencing?
  10. Thats not a reaction tony. This is similar to a chip pan fire. Not all the Water evaporates when it touches the hot moulten metal. It actually drops down to the bottom whete it then boils VERY quickly causing a huge pocket of 'steam' which then rises up very quickly and causes it to expolode everywhere. This is probably exadurated bythe fact the water was also in a bottle
  11. Its normally diesel or other fuel that is pumped in to the exhaust. The heat of the exhaust 'burns' the fuel but very inefficiently thus smoke comes out
  12. That guy in the wheel chair represents 80% of the 'disability' claimants in the UK!
  13. This made me laugh so hard this morning! https://youtu.be/BNCoaKE4S7M Im just childish
  14. Over 20 minutes for some at work. I swear they go in there to sleep
  15. We had an incident down here where a local very experienced glider pilot had to put the glider down on a big recreational field as he hit a sink pocket around a mile out and wasnt able to find any good lift to gain enough altitude. Anywho. Next to this field in an off shore rescue station. So he radioed back to the airfield to get them to tell the offshore rescue station we was having to make an emergency landing near by and for them to clear the field. Even though this was done in time there where still a few idiots that tried to get flying banned as it had caused them 'distress' when they had to move out the way for this glider to come in... I really cannot underatand peoples mentality sometimes..!
  16. Liner... That red golf would no way in hell have been able to get off the line faster than the motorbike. I think pretty much any motorbike (bar the hairdryers) can get off the line much quicker than most cars on the road
  17. 10 foot wingspan?! Christ.. My knees would be all over the place.iwas scared enough flying my 3.35m (which i guess is around 11foot) glider.. Mine only weighs 3.5kg fufw. Its a big heavy sod. Whats the weight of your aerobatic model and why havent you provided pics yet
  18. Thing is i dont think the biker was asking for it. He assumed that the evo was going right and the biker knew he could pull away faster than the car to his left. Not once did he glance at the evo driver whilst at the lights. Also once the lights where green the biker pulled away then backed off before the evo overtook cutting in on his path suggesting that the biker had no realisation/idea the evo was trying to race
  19. Yes.. The manual override is if the motor / hydrolic system fails... But does not help if the actual mechanical movement is stuck
  20. Not really Tony. Its not common but not rare either. Its the motor that does the twisting of the front wheels that locks , or the mech locks up. Basically as the wheel is retracted, the arm angles up towards the body of the aircraft. At thr same time the front wheels rotate by 90 degrees to allow them to fit in the fuselage
  21. Yes you can put gopros on the bigger quads. Tony. Look back at the post of the quad on my kiddies trampoline. Between the upper and lower deck at the front and you will see a board at a slight angle with what looks like a lens on it... Thats a sony super HAD II 700tvl board camera. The signal from this is fed back to the big metal thing on the upper deck at the back, the vtx.. The vtx or Video Transmitter then sends the video back via a 5.8ghz carrier signal to my ground station ( a 5.8ghz rx) and then this received signal is then fed to my video goggles. Lag is less than 0.5 seconds so really isnt much. So instead of looking at the model from the ground i can put on a box with a 5" tv on my head and watch it from there
  22. Tony. My spotter can still see the glider. But its rather small at that distance .the glider is 3.35m wing span so its still not tiny at 1mile Range on my setup should be around 1.5-2 miles... So very short range really. When i get alot more free cash im going to buy a long range system with a range of about 100km. But then i will need to buy another plane to utalise the system (what a shame)
