  1. Those alloys look nasty too. That can't be stock. RR would know better than that... But I guess money can't always buy taste
  2. It should be but that engine is a big America v8 probably producing not much HP.. Looks over performance..
  3. Why? They are just exhaust tips on carbs... Engine will still be sucking in through them.. Just looks odd
  4. Not good . Hope you have better luck with the body shop
  5. Poor bird wasn't looked after and they hate cages without corners. The guy who's video this is re homes these guys and good on him too. Love how the bird starts telling the cage to f**k off... 😂
  6. Good idea. I thinking of making something like this for our pool
  7. Jammy.. People with cars like this do not care for handling... They only want to impress their mates by showing how shut they can make their car
  8. I doubt a tusk could puncture an engine block.... Nice roll though!
  9. I hope he has more paperwork than that! I would be more tempted to get another lotus. Maybe an Elise or something? Whilst I understand the whole replica thing... It's a bit like wolf in sheep's clothing to me. With an Elise or your old Esprit it is what it is. I don't know I could live with something that looks like a 360 but has the poke of an old horse
  10. Your mad parting with 15k without seeing the car... Your may as well throw 15k on black on a roulette table
  11. Nice but I'm not sure... I would want the engine theme tune to boot with the Ferrari.. And a 1.8vvt engine won't suit at all... Even with a turbo it's going to be pretty slow 😕
  12. Thought I would add.. Just renewed insurance for the corolla through admiral again. Cheapest by a country mile at £250 for the year. That's for my wife with 4 yrs ncb. Everyone else wanted 350+!!!
  13. It's insurance time for me too. Will be on the phone to admiral tomorrow determined to get under £250 this year... I'm almost 31 and have 13 yes ncb drive g a post 1.4 petrol corolla!
  14. Tony. Please PLEASE keep HOTW coming. Missed it far too much. Can you provide more explanation around the break? It does not look in that bad a condition. Is there a hole drilled through the arm where it has broken (stress riser)?
  15. They told me at the time they dropped the engine out.. They were also changing the clutch and having the exhaust manifold changed.
  16. Rich. A new chain and tensioner plus labour was over £1500. I had it done FOC when I had my accord as it was on a VSB. Chains do wear.. But I know an accord that is over 300k on the factory fit chain.. But it is a taxi so sees a shed load of mileage. Oil pump chain I would worry about too. When I spoke to the Honda tech doing the work, they had another diesel engine In bits on the floor. Owner had put too thick an oil in and the oil pump (which is a work of art) had broken the pump chain and therefore starved the engine of oil. The oil pump is two balanced counter rotating shafts that spin towards each other. In each shaft there is a 90 degree cut out and these scoop and then fling the oil up. Very clever!
  17. Oohhh is that your car in the bud? Deffo a mechanical twang in there. I would be tempted to drop the oil and do some fishing.. See if any deposits are present.. Certainly sounds like the start of a knock
