  1. With domestic American cars, I understand it's popular to have larger ARBs coupled with softer springs, allowing for a good ride quality (springs) but to also limit body roll on turn (ARBs). Though it's not 100% effective.
  2. No mention but then each feature car had about 3 or 4 paragraphs of engine blurb and (literally) one or two sentences about chassis so no big surprise. Don't think i'll be getting Banzai again any time soon.

Nah, I'm still just skimming the surface but thankyou anyway.
  4. Is it possible the rack may have jumped a couple of teeth (where it meshes with the pinion) ? Not even sure if that's possible, tbh, but I'm struggling too.
  5. where the TRE balljoints in a distressed position ?

Here's the E46 we discussed today: Okay so camber's not exactly spot-on, is probably too deep, took bloody ages and meant doing toe 3 times but yay! a reasonably successful axle lift! Looking at the numbers, I'm surprised to see the impact on SAI and ~ IA. Who says SAI is a fixed angle huh ? Bloody glad I asked you about the castor as my head fell off when it shifted to 3' on the O/S/F when I performed an axle lift. But I'm not too happy about seeing camber move when the axle is lowered. Seems hit and miss to me....... edit: I think treating the S12 to some camber bolts in the interim and praticing axle lifts would be a good idea.
  7. so the geo is correct ?
  8. The skyline powered S13 on pg17 is featured in Banzai! this month. Bought totally on a, uh, "wim". Haven't read it yet but I'll let you know if you got a mention.

Doing a Q7 today had my thinking about air suspension and dynamic gains. Or rather, lack of ?

    Tyre wear

Not the first time I've heard that. Heard it today, as it happens.
  11. I'd expect you frown on all those front-to-rear swapery Tony...?

more stickers lol Decided against Redsuns as I can't find any decent copies and they may look odd on a blue car. Haha, the exhaust is shagged, I'm running M&S tyres, bootlid is full of red tape, needs a service and the handbrake sticks and I'm buying vinyls!
  15. As far as I can tell it all revolves around ride height and camber so I don't really see what you would get from doing so ?
  16. Can't have too many income streams though.

I've yet to see a car with any toot disparity beyond the odd minute or so. I've long since given-up trying to educate The fools. Strange how fast-fit seems to attract people who have no desire to expand beyond what they already know/do.....
  18. I'd say Coilovers are probably OTT for fast-road unless you want to really slam it. I don't know if Tony would agree with that. JDM modified suspension is notorious for being too hard for UK roads.

Yup, green buttons all the way. Really annoying as we're on a "user" account so most pc options are disabled too. I coulnd't access the print manager to check-up on the printer, for example. I can atleast switch between thrust angle or 4-wheel alignment. Now I just need a quiet day to have a go at some shunt adjustment. Not to mention axle lifting, ofcourse. edit: oh I nearly forgot! I've noticed if I switch between FasterCastor (default) or to include TooT in the sweep the steering ahead position changes. I don't really know why it would do that ?
