Tony Posted October 14, 2010 Report Share Posted October 14, 2010 Cooling gel allows the driver to run longer on a flat tyre so it's different to a run-flat tyre. As the flat tyre heats up the gel melts then acts as a lubricant and fire retardant. wim says It's pants..... If you have a puncher that would normally be repairable, this tyre is scrap, in addition if the gel melts the tyre is scrap, on top of that a stationary car on hot tyres on a hot day can allow the gel to "gather" coursing wheel balance issues.
