arizonasun
Hi Tony You know me the guy who runs the mx5-3rdgenerationlimited.com website I dont know if you can answer this but I have been asked if this is ok or not to do this Can you lower the MX5 MK3 standard car (so it has standard suspension not the sports suspension with Bilstein shocks and also has 16" wheels not the 17" wheels) 35mm with the Mazda lowering kit and then put 17" wheels on it Will this effect anything as the MK3 only came with 17" wheels on the sport model with the sports suspension How would the car behave/ride lowered 35mm on standard suspension with 17" wheels You may not have even come across this before Any advice would be great Cheers mate
Tony
Changing wheels has two main concerns.. 1: Offsets. Well this isn't an issue since both the nc's have the same hub/strut assembly. 2: Weight. The same should apply If you go for aftermarket rims then both of these points are a concern. In regards to the handling, it will vastly improve.
