andrewwatkins
Hiya Tony/anyone else I'm contemplating buying the P5 PureDrive suspension for my 1994 Eunos v spec, and would like some unbiased views as £500 plus is a lot for me at the mo, so if i was to be disappointed with the set up i would have to live with it for a long time(even though im sure they would be better than whats on at the mo!) I e-mailed Phil and told him i had bought the car last year and that it had been lowered 32mm front & 33m rear with what i don't know and that the suspension was very hard yet bouncy? When i accelerate away turning as i do the rear does little bounces? The roads in Harrogate in North Yorkshire are diabolical...crap! considering we are supposed to be a rich town and awash with speed humps!!! At speed on twisties i don't feel planted to the road (does that make sense?) and it makes me nervous and not enjoy the mx5 experience as much as my last mx5, a 1995 Gleneagles with a standard set up. Thanks for any advice and views...Andy :unsure:Thanks Sagitar
Sagitar
it had been lowered 32cm front & 33cm rear Really? That's more than a foot . . . . . Millimetres maybe?
Tony
Hello Andy It's a hard call on the kits really..... Personally i like the Puredrive based on the feedback given to me by the owners... But there are other kits out there equally well respected, like Gaz to name one. Like any product some may experience problems we all know that but what really matters is how the company deals with any problems, P5 have been spot on in the few occasions i've seen over the years. Thanks Tony I did'nt want to put you in any kind of position, so you just liking PD will do for me. Just have to try and get the funds together to be able to get over to you so you can do your stuff on my new set up. Will i have to leave it a while to settle down or not? Cheers...Andy
Tony
Assuming the car feels safe to drive then i would put a few hundred miles on them before the calibration..... P5 are good because they mark the adjusters so the rebuild is "as was" geometrically.
