Gary_R
Hey folks, only me again... I had my car aligned and two new tyres put on the rear over 5,000 milesa go. I have measured the tread accurately and noticed that the insides are showing slightly less wear than the outside - the previous set of tyres worn unevenly but were much worse. The outside tread channel is just under 7mm, the inside tread channel is just over 7mm - a small difference at the moment; is it worth trying to rectify the problem or is the difference so minimal its not worth it? This is only on the rears, the fronts are fine. Cheers
Tony
I would say "yes"...... A little manipulation of the toe now will add miles.
Gary_R
True - but a bit mift at the fact I've not long had an alignment check... Perhaps its time to find a different garage.

Problem is most places won't look outside of the box as they perceive OEM positions as law.... There not, the OEM positions are suggestions.
