Tony
This good looking lady was in for a calibration..... Complaint- harsh ride and a dead feel from the steering> I measured the chassis, no real problem there, so what was the problem?....... This is> RFT (run-flat-tyre) These have armoured sidewalls able to support the car if the tyre gets deflated, problem is the tyre lacks the ability to drive or communicate like a conventional tyre. Bad news is by 2015 all new cars will have to have RFT's fitted by law
MondeoGhiaX
jees, really? is that just when they leave the factory, or will they have to have RFTs fitted whenever the tyres are replaced?

From the factory.... Once fitted the RFT is the only tyre you can use unless you change all the suspension

Once fitted the RFT is the only tyre you can use unless you change all the suspension Why? are there statistics somewhere that show that punctures are very dangerous? won't this be bad for the environment? big thick tyres that are scrap even with a minor puncture... they probably weigh more too, worse for fuel economy? .... sometimes these Laws don't make logical sense
