Tony
With the initiation of the compact car the development has reached a stage were the design excludes a steering column, instead the car is 'Steer by wire' How do you feel about this direct mechanical detachment from the wheels. Mat
from some development cars ive seen last year there still is a column, for safety, as with the Lexus, which has drive by wire throttle, theres still an accelerator cable

Tiss the same thing. Anyhoo how would you feel driving the Monster (drive by wire)...... or could you even imagine Drifting by wire? and the inevitable electromagnetic sabotage at race days .... That does explain your post.....Steer by wire reads worrying for us old boys on the block..... what if the wet cell does a Kamikaze during the winter..... all we would have is wobbly steering wheel, and no steering action....
