Robin
As always there things on your shopping list that you want for your car and at some point I'd like a new set of rims. I've been thinking about going up to some 18's when funds permit it. I've been looking at some 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 backs if they will fit the tezza My Question: What effects will the large contact areas of the tyres have on the transmission and steering mechanise ?? Tony
8.5 and 9.5 is absolutely no problem on your beast... Point to remember about wider tyres is that the weight is distributed over a wider area.
jon
If you keep the rolling radius the same by fitting different profile tyres i can't thing how the transmission will come into it. Of course wider wheels and tyres will feel different but that's why you're at WIM. Tony will help you make the best from them
Mat
i dont think you will need 8.5 on the front i think a good staggered set up , and the one i originally ran on the monster with no problems, even with all its power and your car is lighter, my set up was.... 7.5 x 18 front with 225/40 18 8.5 x 18 rear with 255/35
