stuart2088
We have the above vehicle in family shod with Kumho Solus 165 60 14 Tyres. When due for a change is there any advantage in changing to 165 65 14 as they are much cheaper to buy. Would the different tyre size cause any issues with the ABS or ESP traction control that is fitted. Thanks in advance.
Tony
The correct rolling radius would be 155/65-14, this would keep the speedo correct, but saying that it would only be incorrect by about 3%.
stuart2088
Thanks for that prompt reply. Not too bothered about speedo error more concerned regarding any issues it may cause to ABS or ESP function and of course any advantage/disadvantage to making this change of tyre size. Alternatively with the standard wheel size any other tyre size changes you can recommend...... just seems a bit under tyred. Like to get a bit more rubber on the tarmac but using the standard wheels..... if that is possible. Thanks.
Tony
Nothing else would be effected providing you changed them all. As for a correct conversion it would be 185/50-14 but i doubt if they are cheap.
