Vipercar93
I am trying to fit a 3ft length of LED lights into my boot along a metal support. I have cleaned it with alcohol and applied double sided tape, but the tape keeps coming undone. Any ideas?
SMARTLY
Can you wrap some tape round the metal support first, maybe masking tape? Then hopefully it will stick. Try a few inches first.
Vipercar93
It's part of the unibody, I cannot wrap anything around it.
phipck
may need to consider a stronger type of double sided, there several strengths made by 3M which may need looking into
Vipercar93
Hmm will have to look into it more. Not all tapes are created equal =)

I have cleaned it with alcohol and applied double sided tape, but the tape keeps coming undone. Any ideas? Had exactly the same problem myself when I put LED strips in my boot, the double sided tape just won't stick properly. Swapped it for double sided foam tape from B&Q, been up there for several years now and still stuck strong
Vipercar93
Tried the foam tape too... didn't stick either. Going to go the 3m route and see if that stuff will stick.
parthiban
"Hard as nails" tape is ridiculously strong too, might be overkill but should probably do the job.
