  1. Oh whats happened mate? has it died or something?
  2. she's like the kids you see on "You've been framed" Went to pick her up from my dads last night after my training course and she was asleep standing up on the sofa So comical to see and some of the positions she gets into are just so funny Think its time my dog went on a diet looking at that picture too, she's just over 9.5 stone at the moment
  3. Bargain motor mate, good base for a project that
  4. Dont really take many pic's with my phone and if i do its usually of my daughter and the strange ways she goes to sleep? she has a habit of just going off at random times Why is it kids like to play in boxes?? instead of what came out of them?? Alton towers hotel entrance.. My little dog.. Big wheel at Trentam Gardens..
  5. Axle repair? Electric toothbrush.. Tennis ball suspension.. Golf space saver..
  6. I usually just key the surface a little around them first then fill with the putty, and flat off again with very fine sandpaper and paint over? Worked great on a key scratch i had on my lex, it was about 8 inch long an down to the primer, but i filled it and then got my airbrush out to spray it, took a bit of time to get right but you couldn't see it after
  7. When i was working at JCB, i'd take the parts into work and powder coat them, used to be great as i could have the parts any colour i wanted, and they were even zinc coated in the process Wish i worked there now as i've got loads of bits i could paint up
  8. I usually brush them off and give them a good painting up with hammerite, Did most of the underside on my Lexus and will be doing nearly all the underside of the Skyline when i get chance
  9. sorry mate i forgot about the dust bit it is pretty good stuff though and sets pretty quick! I have a really good tube of knifing putty here that works great, it lets you fill things like stone chips to build them up, so when you apply the paint there nice and flush with the original finish and looks so much better after a good polish and its great for finishing off jobs and leveling out filler and things like key scratches Quite expensive for a tube though at around £38?
  10. Gives a different look to the pic's and is quite effective where cars are concerned, quite like how it works and i'm starting to get into the photo thing quite a bit now I tried it on one of the models that was walking around, but it made her rear end look 4 ft wide and like a picture out of the hall of mirrors in Blackpool Have a feeling she wouldn't of been very happy if she'd seen it
  11. Cheers matey, I used a wide angle conversion lens on my camera, gives them a bit of a fisheye effect First time i've tried it and seems to have worked ok They look a lot better in full size, and its a shame photobucket reduces them by quite a bit?
  12. i'm terrible for it, if i park up next to a car its one of the first things i do, and if i'm out and about i'm always watching how the car in front handles round corners and in a straight line
  13. Fantastic motor mate, looks great too
  14. Yes mate, it was a really good day too, and the weather was a lot better than last year Few more pic's Jet car And its quarter mile time and speed...279.73mph in 5.891 seconds.. non jap?
  15. Had another great day out and thought i'd share a few pics
  16. Yes, thats the stuff mate You can make it dry fast or slow depending on your mix, more hardener and it'll set pretty quick, less = slower... But will only take a few mins to harden off so you have to work quick if your after a fast setting mix or it will start to go hard before you get it on the car? I use the carbon filler to make things like gauge pods or to modify things, its like a fibreglass mix but uses carbon fibres instead of the glass fibres, good stuff but a bit pricey(i used to get it free for a huge tin)
  17. They were a bit of a pain to do because the glass is curved and everytime i got it close i got a row of air gaps (fingers) apearing so had to heat the film to shrink it in those areas, but didn't do too bad as its the first time i've had a go at tinting Might do the rear next as i now know how to shrink the film to shape before applying it to the glass? but not bad for less than £3, being as i'd been quoted £60 to have them done
  18. Thought i'd have a go at window tinting yesterday? Found a company that sell the tint by the meter so ordered a 100cmx50cm length to see how i'd get on? Think i've done a pretty good job and only a couple of tiny bubbles, i even heat shrank it to fit when the dreaded fingers started to appear, Not sure now if i should have a go at the rear, now that i've got the idea on how to shrink the film and shape it? think i could do it? I was quoted £60 to have the rear quarters done at JAE so was worth a try Couple of pic's... Before.. After.. Before.. After.. Not bad for £2.99
  19. Try P38 easy sand matey, good stuff and looking at the hole you have it should be ok? You might have to tap the hole in a bit so that it gets a good grip and key the surface so it stick to the bodywork! if the hole goes through to the back of the arch fill from both sides and it'll act as a plug and when hard it wont drop out Shame your not a bit closer mate, as i have a huge tin of carbon filler that i use to make things plus a few tins of P38 lying around
