  1. Its not as direct and responsive as it has been in later months... When I left there Friday it felt great.id only done 3 miles home from said garage and then back again 4pm the following day for fine tune of alignment... That done it drove sweet on my way home again.. Saturday I had 2 miles if that to drive and during that drive the whole feel of the car went very od. Drove it home and it seemed a very crash ride and still weird to drive. Basically all 20 bolts had to go nearly half a turn more to click my wrench at 110nm ive actually done them to 120nm for piece of mind atm
  2. Its not so light on the steering now its settled down again but that's beside the point
  3. Cheeky ××××ing bankers are now saying that because the lad was seen using a torque wrench on all 4 wheels (checked on cctv apparently) that it is impossible that they would come undone... Then was asked to leave and go elsewhere.. Such a disappointing end to completing engine and running gear phase of the car.. Its coming to WIM at such time im allowed to
  4. I'm guessing not mate.. I think gheybare goin to get funny about this when I go back
  5. 9Its messed my day up amd lost me a £100 job this morning as I've had to deal with this.... I've used these for atleast 4 years now and apart from a couple of snapped bolts they had been great..but the guy who would always do my cars has been put in the main garage doing mots atm ... Thing is other than kuikfit its the only place in my district with a geo machine but I might not use them after this..
  6. Yes mate their 16 year old apprentice was left to do them up and torque them down.. Just been up there and the attitude is un real. I was by no means rude or load but I have a right to be pi55ed here right? Got fobbed off out the door amd come back at mid day.. So my whole day now has to be put on hold due to incompetence Tries telling my the alignment will be fine regardless....omg people do cracks me up with their BS they really doo
  7. So then all 5 bolts on each wheel was loose as they was ratting when I went round the shop just now. To say I. Am annoyed at this moment in time is an understatement.... I've only driven about 20 miles since Thursday.. Explains the deterioration of how it drove drove from yesterday afternoon when I was coming home.. Thing is now it is driving very bad again. Steering is vague and rather light.it goes straight but doesn't feel stable at all now Hope this hasn't damaged my wheels or hubs
  8. Aye I have learnt a few things over the years since I've found WIM I think I'm the most anal person about alignment in the whole of the thanet district tbh knowone drovers don't can about it and always avoid/put off having it done and wonder why they keep going through tyres like they goin out of fashion... Ordered the bearing so i shall report back soon Went out an hour or so for the first time today and its all sloall.could the cold be playing havock with the fluid/gas inside the dampers? It was very unpleasant for the majority of the 5 mile each way trip.. No rattles bangs or funny moment to report as itvstill drove straight but like a boat
  9. No ballast as its on Koni uprated shocks with lowered h&r springs fitted.
  10. And the part I think needs replacing... Going back to castor again, can new tyres alrer castor angles as the castor has moved back again and I'm wondering if the subframe has moved
  11. And the part I think needs replacing in order to reading the rear properly
  12. A random pic of the rear beam and the mounting point for the hub/bearing
  13. So today went well..fitting the new tyres had altered things slightly and a fine tune was necessary (was done for free too) I'm still looking to cure the resr toe issue though.. Am I right that its the o/s rear toe that needs address? To me it appears that the axle seems fine given the evan balance of camber across both sides, this points the problem more than likely being the hub/wheel bearing itself being bent due to an impact forcing the wheel to turn out slightly?
  14. I share your fussiness mate,I'd like to see each value even or near as it can.. Just fitted 4 new tyres on and I have no shaking along with actual grip again as it doesn't wheelspin all the time now .. im going to book it in for another check and possibly fine tune the current set up now them crap tyres are off. I love asymmetric tyres BTW
  15. Tell me about it Truth is they was upnfor replacement in a 1000 miles of so anyway. What do you think is causing the difference in toe on the rear Tony? Most print outs I've seen see the rear on 0.11
  16. Having to bite the bullet for tyres now got delt a blow out today from glass on the road..replacing all 4
  17. And this is the previous report before lower arms topmount track rods and track rod ends was replaced.. the rear varies a lot though
  18. The difference in the rear is bugging me big-time. Rear Thrust angle and the difference in toe and camberbto that of the first print out
  19. So here is the latest print out I think that's as close as I'll get the subframe without the aid of a machine but its definitely made the difference... Car actually drives really realy well now.. But notice the rear camber and toe have changed again?todays result is how the rear has always been.. Any idea of what will be the culprit here? As id love to get the rear sat as equal possible again
  20. First time the astra has been done and its not been right...its had 3 in 18 months when suspension was fitted when I got the car, lower arm time October time and then after warranty replacement lower arms a week'ish later
  21. Xar has koni shocks and lowered h&e springs so as per your advice before it wasn't preloaded
