  1. That's cool then, so I'm assuming just adjustable front and rear toe? Or is the rear fixed?
  2. Tony (or anyone else), what is your opinion on this car and how adjustable is it? Any known issues with it? Cheers
  3. It doesn't matter was just interested
  4. You can adjust the rose jointed end but I'd imagine this is so the holes will line up. They extend by around an inch or so. Once they're fixed in position I don't know if adjusting this will effect the camber? That's very nice of you Tony, thanks I can bring me tool kit as well otherwise it won't get used much!
  5. I got these this morning, can only be bought from America for the contour. Luckily I bought them from someone in the UK They replace this part in the illustration. As far as I know they're a fixed arm...to adjust the camber the box section next to it would need to be adjustable. However, I have no rear camber issues, I'm just fitting these for extra strength In this photo they're the silver bar. The hub end is rose jointed and the other poly bushed. Tony, if I get new bolts/nuts from Fords would you be able to fit these before the geo is done. Shouldn't take long I'd imagine, I'm just not overly keen on jacking the rear of a mondeo up. It's ok when you're working from the side but not underneath!
  6. Looking fantastic, think I came on the wrong day! Can't wait to pop by again
  7. I will post that reply in the thread...couldn't believe how bad the wear was though! As the escort has a fixed rear, is a geometry still necessary or will 4 wheel alignment suffice?
  8. Must've missed this! I will set up a thread offering your discount in the relevant section Could you please PM me a short description that I can include as well.
  9. A mate had a similar problem and his spigot rings were bent, causing the problem
  10. Coming along nicely now Is it alright if I pop over one day this week to see it in the flesh?
  11. Yep as Tony said they need changing...are they the original Ford arms? I've used pattern arms which can last a few months or a couple of years, all depends on what you get. I've just fitted these ones I bought from ebay - link, worth a try at 30 quid a pair, delivered
  12. Yes I know you can't but I've never had a problem and it was as tight as the day I did it. I won't try to convince you though! To be honest I'm more concerned with the subframe bolts coming loose or shearing, which both Jammy and me have experienced
  13. You should've stayed at home to watch the racing and called the AA out for her! Sounds like quite an adventure, at least she got to work ok
  14. Most common question on MEG so wrote a guide for doing it - Here Yes Tony I know the bolt is inverted but I've not had a problem with it.
  15. Did this today, went well, I only had the wheel left to put on when we had all that hail!! Here's a pic of the old arm and the ball joint was very loose, I could move it with one finger! The steering feels alot smoother now with no resistance anymore. Need to do the other side and then just the camber kit to fit cos it's still pulling although the drive is better now the arm is changed
  16. Wishful thinking! I'll have to pop down and try me new mug out then! Why not..... The HD Tv and wiyfi ? (excuse spelling?) will be alive, plus you can have a peep at the new Geo software Cool...TV, wifi, tea and cars...all I'll need is a sleeping bag, when can I move in! :) Surely not the Kettle Tony? h I'm sure an instruction manual is supplied with it!
  17. Wishful thinking! I'll have to pop down and try me new mug out then!
  18. So will you be opening that week then as I'm off work so could get the camber kit fitted?
  19. The pin should be tight, i use a ring spanner to align them..... As for the nylock "once" officially but with some threadlock added i would feel fine using them twice. That's cool then If we get a dry spell over the weekend I'll change them and just swap the bolts later on
  20. Got some pattern arms delivered today. I can't move the ball joints by hand though, I have to tap them with a mallet...is this right? Reason I ask is that the other pair of arms I bought last year the ball joint could be moved quite freely by hand! Need to fit these by Monday and it's forecast rain all weekend, plus Ford don't have the bolts I need, can't get them until Tuesday now How many times can nylocks be reused?
  21. Welcome to WIM...Sutton is only an hours drive to the new centre in Chesham. It might be worth visiting Tony for a checkup
