My wife has a Mazda 2 Sport on a 59 plate - the front tyres are down to 3mm so I am going to change them - they are currently Toyo Proxes R31A 195/45 R16 W rated 80 load index. This is a very unusual size and rating (the W mainly). Would it matter if I changed to a V rated tyre as the range is much better. I could get Conti Sport Contact 5 for example. Does a change such as this impact on insurance etc? Any help, or recommendations would be appreciated. I always go branded (Michelin, Goodyear or Continental) as I want her to be as safe as possible. Thanks very much. The problem on your neighbour's car is due to UV instability in the colour coat. The lacquer will be fine, but because of the instability underneath it can't be addressed without a respray. The SEAT colour code is OVNI yellow and is a big issue on various forums. Mine is Sprint yellow and is unaffected.

They're 17s. Wish that I had 18s sometimes but at least tyres are cheaper!

Pretty rare considering it is a stock colour. With the range of Blue, Silver, Black, Red or Yellow at launch, I think most people opted for a bit more of a resellable colour. Still, it has grown on me quite a bit. Need to dress the arches but they look worse for the camera flash.

Sorry that I forgot to resize all the images. Tyres are dressed with Autosmart or Meguiars Endurance Gel then buffed off to avoid the wet look and sling.

Just a small write up of a detail on my own car. Car is Skoda Octavia vRS which is not quite standard . Process Hosed off all dust etc as we have construction site near work so gets extremely dusty Two bucket was using Dodo Born to be Mild shampoo Wheels cleaned with Valet Pro Bilberry and various brushes. Sealed with Werkstatt Prime and Poorboys wheel sealant Decontaminated with Aurtosmart Tardis and clayed using Sonus Green and Swissvax paint rubber Dual action machine polished using Menzerna 203s, followed by Werkstatt Prime on a glazing pad Three layers of Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger sealant for bling finish Autosol on tailpipe and engine dressed with Aerospace 303 protectant Only finished photos but you get the idea Still some more work to do.
