The nut and rubber sit on the top of the shock in the boot ,can i just undo the nut and lube with all 4 wheels on the groundnor do i have to lift up the car and support the hub with a jack ? As its my first attempt at anything like this !!!

My MX has developed a nasty sqweak i think from the top nut and rubber mount on the rear off side shock, is it OK to use a lube on the rubber like the stuff i would lube poly bushes with or is there something else i can use ?

Yup does seem a bit strange ,still no real rush just have to wait till the main man is back on line.

yes it looks and sounds like its gone the same as before , there wasn't any excess movement when i returned home after being fitted just seems to be getting worse !

Ok time for a bit of an update on the replaced near side front droplink that I had done about 5 weeks ago. Well to be honest I am still getting allot of chatter / clunking at low speed and reading on the manufactures web site they supposed to be no noise at all. So I have posted a short clip to highlight the noise that they make when the car is at a stop and raised up.

Just starting to get the dreaded squeak from one of my Urethane bush es on my rear ARB, does anyone know a decent Prothane Grease or simi lar product to cure it ?

It was a great day took my wife and son to their first motor sport event ever and my last one was over 25 years ago Thruxton I think? We couldn’t stay all day because of work commitments and to be honest it was a scorcher of a day so we left about 14.00. The videos were taken by my son on his I phone he says he’s going to invest in a proper camera for the next meet and hopefully get some better pics.

Hi Tony as I said it’s noticeable at low speed i.e. in traffic or through town my car has covered approximately 6,550 miles since they were fitted and the car is my daily commute to and from work. To give a bit of an insight to the usage, there is a short section of town to get out of then its motorway to my work and the roads around here (Coventry) are pretty good compared to other places. So if it or they need replacing can I get down to Wim next Saturday?

Recently when I am driving at low speed, I have noticed a chattering sound coming from the front end of my MX5. I had the WIM drop links fitted last September and on inspection today the near side drop link seems to have a lot more play in than the offside. Any one got any ideas how heavy a Toyo Trampio Vimode Tyre is 225/50/16 they are on a set of RX7 16x8 offset 50 apparently there are two rim weight sizes 13lb and 16lb the 16lb is more stabl e and not pron to cracking
