  1. sending them back shouldnt be to much of an issue no problem as such. on the car i have just got they are abit manky and abit corrodid. wanted them referbed to clean them up and also becasue they are a few years old now
  2. if i remember correctly, AVO
  3. Where can i get a set of coilovers referbed and in what sort of turn around time.
  4. wahoooo, ive never been called intelligent before
  5. my boot is normaly always empty anyway. just thought i would ask as it just poppped into my head
  6. Obviously the weight in the will effect the geometery, so, when having the car setup what should be in there. the driver fuel? how much ? anything else ?
  7. they may of looked identical, but the chances are they would of had different spring rates, and bump and rebound rates too It would depend on the car, usage etc to wether coilovers would be worth it. im sure i will be corrected if im wrong
  8. Right, alittle update the wandering is getting worse, and its now being effected by crosswinds So it looks like i will be giving you a ring this week and booking in for next week hopefully
  9. it will probably have to be in a month or 2 now. im off work with my back so on statory sick pay. To add to that, the car broke down earlier, glow plug light came on and it just stalled, it just wouldnt run. left it 2 minutes and it started and is now running as normal again. damn cars, give me back a cosworth anyday
  10. Yep, its was fine. i remember talking to you whilst you did it. I came up to get it done as i had not long before replaced the lower arms so had to have the subframe off and it turned out i did a pretty good job of putting it back on straight again lol
  11. cheers for the reply Tony. If i remember correctly you saw me sometime in febuary. I remember having the car done before my drive to the Alps which was at the start of march. I need to have my outter CV boots done on both sides( just having trouble finding somewhere reasonable lol ), so as soon as thats done i shall book with you guys again. Just tried to find the print out you gave me but cant
  12. Hello again everyone, im back with more problems lol Afte replacing the front lower arms on my mk3 mondeo, then going upto WIM for a geo setup everything was going well but at the start of this month a slight knocking occured. It was frequent enough to be drop links and didnt happen at any particular time. Unfortunatly i suffering with a very bad back at the moment so getting under the car was ( and still is ) a problem. Aswell as the knocking there was wandering, pulling to one side whilst accelerating and diving to the other when you back off. So i took it to my local garage who are normaly helpful and do my MOT etcs. the test drove it,then had a look around and found one of the lower arm bolts was coming loose The charged for an hours labour for the test drive, and loctight'ing all lower arm bolts. Great i thought, at least it want anything to serious. But allthough it has stopped the knocking, the wandering and pulling whilst accel/decel is still there ( albeit alittle less) Do you rekon its a geo problem, or is something still a miss ? thanks in advance guys
  13. Was just an idea. I remeber seing it on a corsa B a few years back when i changed a mates shocks and springs. But im no expert lol. just my tupence worth
  14. are they after market shocks too ? Are the shocks matched to the springs? If not the shocks could be shorter therefore not letting the spring decompress fully
  15. i dont like IS200's now..... one drove into me last friday lol
  16. i just re-read what i wrote and it seem abit snappy lol. As for the rear beam, it may of cost over £1000 but it transformed the car.
  17. no having a dig or anything, just came to mind as iwas typing. im a cosworth man at heart, and for that i would say the rear antiroll bar from a 4x4 saph ( if its a 2wd) as its torsional stiffness is,err, stiffer lol but ajustable TCAs for the front work wonders but by far. the best mod was a adjustable rear beam, it was 6degree and adjustable for toe and camber and stopped the inherant problems of toe and camber change under acceleration.
  18. I would pretty much go for the same, maybe from the 4x4 saph or escort ( big turbo version ) as the blocks were thicker obviously there are far more expensives engine that would be "better" but i like to be thinking about things that the everyday person can aford
  19. would it not be different for different cars ?
  20. i must ofmissed your post, sorry. can you even get to it through the floor ? its the front of the crossmember so right up next to the rad
  21. I looks perfect to me. and ive cleaned it
  22. again, please excuse my denseness but im not with you again lol when i say it will turn no more, i mean the bolt makes contact with the nut, screws in a couple of threads and then will screw in no more. almost like its going to crossthread, so i stop there and vent my angre on the nearest fence lol
