I don't know. Somekind of inbalance in rolling resistance ? Wheel position can show a change in geometry but that isn't the case here is it ?

    Oh Bugger

Thanks ER and he wasn't too bad. We had an almost indentical car and with the same wheels in for a rear tyre a few days later. I was "busy" so I let one of the other fools do it instead.
  3. I think that white Snow Plough S12 is meant to be a take on the shilouet racer cars, like this late 80s R31 Skyline

uh, okay boss Rotating the front wheels appears to have essentially killed the left pull, incidentally. But it seems my steering wheel isn't set straight
  5. Tony wins! Wow, this is going to be a really short thread heh ?
  6. was it a nightmare locking it all down in place ?
  7. You didn't get a shot of the secondary angles too did you ?

I would have thought a higher camber angle would have exagerated the phenominum ?

Oh and it's only going to be SORN'd over Febuary. I want to make it to WIM for ferrari day in March at the very least.
  10. Forgot to mention, thick end of £500 each (IIRC)
  11. Michelin Pilot Sport ? Looks like the tread was made for h&t wear...
  12. Guess Porsche knew what they wanted eh ?

Off topic, I'm really getting peeved off with work at the moment. Twice today I was told not to "mess about" Once with a rear beam shunt on a Passat and again with that wee allen head bolt on a late 3 series strut top. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm wasting my time. If my secret little portfolio is full of non-adjustments it's goning to look rubbish Back on, something that puzzles me somewhat is how a larger Camber angle can promote understeer on something like an MX5 but promotes traction on something like our barge Omega and thus fight understeer ?
  14. how does trailing arm and semi-trailing arm set-ups differ ?

Declared SORN over Febuary so probabyl won't have much to add. Do we think the loose rear end could be a result of removing the rear spoiler btw ? edit: oh and I've decided to leave experimenting with the S12 untill I 'm happy with the way it's behaving. Ever since that ikkle spin it's just not been right. Maybe I should get the WIMers to give it the once over ?
  16. Nice. Ultimate RWD n/a 911. Probably a bit scarey but shouldn't a supercar be like that ?
  17. Indeed.. These are a classic case where the metals are in conflict. Once you gain the slightest movement from the adjuster you can free the bushing and i haven't been beaten yet (famous last words). no mate thats to keep the supercharger cool well if it's genuine all the better for it (he types, sheepishly lol)
  18. how would fitting cause an air leak ? ripped bead ? damaged valve ?
  19. Told him to go to KF >.> There he would have gotten a pleasent and efficent service by highly trained professionals. At a fair price too.
  20. bit seized up was it ? edit: I agree about the bonnet. I'd have thought a hardtop or rimz innit would have been more of a priority ? BOnnet vents must keep the rocker cover nice 'n' cool too eh ?
  21. Tyre make and suitability is a problem, in fact one of the wim members recently bought tyres for his Lexus and there's major issues with the handling.... It could be said the P6000 doesn't suit your car?..... as for the change now i would say suspension deterioration. Now I know the correct description of the wear pattern is heel and toe I have done some on line research. There would appear to be many similar cases to mine particularly on various Seat Models using Bridgestones,so perhaps it is just some incompatibility issue after all. In any event as I haved swapped the rear wheels Left to Right and vice -versa as stated in my original post I guess that the high edge of the outer blocks will slowly wear down during the remaining life of the tyres reducing the noise level at the same time. Usually once a wear pattern is established it remains for the life of a tyre but, TBH, I'm not sure if that applies to H & T wear.
