BuyPirelli
Slightly surprised with this. I fitted two tyres to the rear of my Mondeo at the same time, this was 3 years ago, and have since done around 45,000 miles. Now the passenger side tyre is down to 2mm, but the drivers side is still on 4mm, with both showing even wear throughout. Is the passenger side of the axle under more load, due to roundabouts etc? I prefer to replace tyres in pairs, but it seems a waste if one is still on 4mm. I guess this is a good argument for rotating tyres, if you believe in that sort of thing? Tony
You can get variations in compound between batches but the tolerance is normally very small.
BuyPirelli
These tyres are from the same batch, and even then I'd say 2mm difference is quite a bit! It must be all the right hand corners.
